Oh boy here it goes

I remember as a kid I would easily get allergic reactions to those kiddy plastic watch straps. I guess it's more the trapped sweat that irritated my skin more than anything else. Then for some good 20-30 years, I was fine, nothing wrong. No more plastic straps, I had for the longest time a watch with a leather strap, and then the last one before the iwatch, it was... how do you call them... metal or steel links? Those definitely didn't cause a problem for me.

But now!

I suppose the newest watch strap I got was made of some sketchy materials and now I have a rash or a reaction. I was fine with many of that kind of resin or plastic or acrylic link straps, but it was this one that's giving me this. Huh. And I like it so much too! It's nice, old-school nostalgic. I don't even know how to call this color or pattern. (Old-school amber?)

Now I have a sports band, I guess nylon knit or something that would probably keep my wrist dry instead of trapping the sweat. Let's see if the rash goes down in a couple of days.

I believe that is what we'd call tortoiseshell.
