Ugh. It's so annoying.
So the other day, one part of the apartment had lost all electricity.
After much trial and error with switching off and on the main switch, I identified the problem location. It was one particular socket, or the "router" for the electricity line.
We got an electrician over and I was a bit off. Yes, that particular socket, but the actual "router" was another one that diverts the main electricity line to that socket.
He also commented that all our sockets and switches are old, and that our main fuse box also needs to be replaced. Fair enough, that thing is from when we moved in, almost 40 years ago.
However, some light switches and sockets are actually new.
Long story short, so the guy went about changing the switches and sockets, and went to change the one in my room. I didn't think anything in my room needed to be changed as almost everything was new from the last renovation (2018). They changed my light switch and 2 sockets just by my door, and then Mom found him doing that and said no need, just change the other switches. (I was at work so I wasn't there to look at the works)
Anyway, I didn't notice it yesterday. My room has 2 lights, and I usually switch both on and off together, but today, I happened to just switch one on and found out that...
They swapped the switches *rolls eyes*. You'd think if you press the left side switch then the left side light will turn on. They swapped it! So pressing the left side switch will turn on the right side light. Ugh. I don't want to be overly anal about that, but THAT annoys me to no end. It was something they didn't really have to change. They did anyway, fine, because the switch was a slight upgrade (a small soft light is on when the lights are off, so you can see where the switch is) but I can't stand the swapped sides.
I'm on the fence of whether I should complain or not. Argh.
