Long Weekend

It was the Mid-Autumn Festival on Thursday. That means the Moon was at its roundest, and the custom is to stay up late, enjoying the Moon, eating mooncakes (I did not have any this year... coz... I'll explain when I have the chance, maybe later today...), or anything round in shape... and so, the following day is a public holiday.

我係一條三文魚!

Miraculously this public holiday got categorized as a statutory holiday, so I got the day off too.

Yesterday was a semi-disaster... everywhere was closed, but we managed to do a good load of shopping, cleaned the house COMPLETELY and I made a lot of progress on my current book. Yippity yay!

今晚之內要睇晒呢本書!都睇咗好耐,要清櫃!

This morning we decided to get up early and go with the dogs to the suburbs for a mountain trail. Yay! I loved it. The dogs loved it! It's starting to get breezy and you can feel it's the north wind... ah, Autumn!

Untitled Best thing about Autumn: mountain trail walking can commence again! Nice breezy and fresh!

I'm now just taking a short break in updating some blogs and then I'm off to sorting the clean laundry and pairing socks. Next thing one of the dogs need his medicinal bath. After that it's probably lunch, to the vet and then back home where I can most probably finish the rest of the book. Ah, it's good to have time to read a good book!

I've missed your dog walking photos. All of those pictures are from a mountain trail? Amazing!! Especially the one on the top right hand corner of the second picture.

Gosh, I wish I´d find the time once again to really read... meaning: I read more than just 2 couple of pages in a row and then fall asleep!

We get moon cakes in the US, but I very much miss the lanterns and moon viewing I did as a kid in HK. I hope you enjoyed yourself! Nothing better in life than curling up with a good book. :)
