Dad updates & other stuff

Surgery successful, now under observation because of this coagulant medication thing. The doctor gave a false hope that he might be able to get discharged today, but alas, that was not to be.

As people don't usually get discharged on Saturdays and Sundays, he think he will only be allowed to go home on Monday.

Meanwhile, tomorrow, I will make a short trip to Hong Kong for the Hong Kong Pet Show. I don't particularly need anything from there, but I thought to look around and perhaps I may get some stuff at a bargain. I will also be on the lookout for milk for kittens as Harley currently makes valiant attempts at stealing our cornflakes or oatmeal, and we are not supposed to give regular milk to cats (though ok, we did. Just a bit.)

I'm also in the lookout for a yoga mat bag. Which I found on Macau but those only had a pull string to close the bag. I wanted something with a sling so I can sling it over my shoulder, and perhaps with a mini pocket for my keys and the bus card. Which I actually found available in Hong Kong.

I enrolled in a yoga class from a government sports program. I pay MOP$50 for 8 classes (once a week, each class 1 hour). The gymn that I used to join? Some MOP$7000 for 18 months. I supposedly get to join any 2 classes a week, each class 1 hour and there are shower, sauna and steamroom facilities... but I usually only go for 1 class a week and the most I use is the shower, not the sauna nor the steamroom nor the cardio machines... so why don't I save some money... I just have to lug the mat around, is all. I already have a mat, just need a carrier bag, and none of my bags are big enough for that.

One of my Goodreads groups is going to read Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell. I decided to take this challenge. Then I saw the actual book and I wanted to give up, but, since it's just a library loan, I got it anyway. Here's hoping to seeing the book physically and I would start reading again.

Glad to hear the surgery was a success! Crossing my fingers he recovers quickly.

That yoga bag is cute. Looks like it has a few extra pockets, too. Always good to have.

I've had JS&MN on my list to read for years, but just haven't gotten around to it. Let me know what you think of it!

Ahhh JSMN lol. THAT'S a fat book. I have it on my Kindle, but I'm only like 30% through it. Did you see the show? I think that helped me get into the book more.

That's great news on your father. You must be so relieved.

I have kitten milk powder, do you want? It was bought last time for the abandoned kittens but now the milk was left and my cats don't drink it

It's unfortunately that the doctor gave your family false hope, but it will be the best if all doubts or concerns from the doctor are cleared so that your dad and everyone can be assured that everything is well. But still, I sincerely hope your dad gets discharged soon!
