[Late] Friday Five 21-September

1. Do you have the urge to do a Fall/Spring cleaning as soon as the weather turns?
Not normally Fall/Autumn. Spring though, I get that urge. But in recent years, nah.

2.What tells you that the season (a certain smell, a certain taste, that sort of thing) has changed?
Actually, it’s a bit gross, but it’s true. My skin. Hands, specifically. It can be dry weather turning humid, or humid weather turning dry, doesn’t matter what, but a weather change makes my hands start peeling 100% of the time. I do put hand cream on my hands, and that wouldn’t help.

3.What do you look forward to the most with the change of seasons?
In the colder weather, I can finally wear long sleeves and pants and hide my dual colours hahaha! My thighs and toes are white but my legs are dark, same for my arms!

4. What is something that you probably should accomplish but won’t this season?
Clean out the trash in my room. It’s not that I don’t want to clean up. I was promised we would do a renovation last year, then we’d finally get separate rooms. So I started to clean up and be ready for that renovation. That never happened, yet my sis trashes the apartment and doesn’t get in trouble for that. So I’ll just adopt the same attitude.

5. What is the most enjoyable part of the oncoming season for you?
Definitely the weather as it’s not so crushingly hot, and I like feeling the autumn breeze blowing!

I'm so ready for that autumn breeze. It was very hot this year and I'm looking forward to some cooler weather.

I'm sorry to hear about your hands, that must be painful, too.

I can feel the breeze is dry, but it’s still too hot!

Oh thank you :-) but it sounds worse than it really is. My hands start peeling yes, but as long as I don’t pull or peel them myself, then it doesn’t hurt at all. It’s a little annoying when I put cream on my face and it scratches my face but other then that, it’s nothing. And it only lasts a week, or 2 weeks max. Though it starts to get super annoying if and when the weather itself is indecisive! Then the peeling is constant. But otherwise, I’m good.

I hear you on the indecisive weather. That's just annoying by half as it makes my back flare up. that's never fun...

Ouch for your hands. Have you tried any softening mask-gloves? (I have no idea what their real name) My hands get really dry in winter, but after some search I found a kind that I can do once every one-two weeks and have my hands in acceptable state.

Funny how we people are always unhappy with weather. Here I am wishing that warm days will keep just for a little bit more, you (and most people I read on LJ) are wishing for cooler weather. :)
