Another big hello from... dreary Macau! It's overcast, it's humid, it's foggyish, it's grey. It's also Monday, so there isn't really much to show about today. I also didn't want to show the same few morning ablutions images, so there are some different things being shown today.
I kind of binge-watched Netflix for a while last night (I did force myself to lights off and sleep at around quarter past midnight, so it wasn't that bad), but I was still tired this morning at woke up at 7ish. One bulb left on my orchid to open! Look at that beauty!
Sai Lup is still tired LOL. Meanwhile Harley is quietly sniffing the kitty box that's in my room. Of course, the kitty box is there for his use, but he is a bit of a rude customer. He goes, and he doesn't cover! It's been annoying me for ages. Then because I placed that sand-catching carpet, he tries to go away by jumping diagonally, thus still spilling sand everywhere from between his toes? That's why I have that plastic bench thingamajig there.
The usual drive the dogs out to the dog park... it's so dreary...
Just sharing my lovely dogs :-) Menina really dislikes taking photos. She looked so cute before, but once I took the camera out? It's like she has to walk up the guillotine!
Back home, the dogs get fed, I get my breakfast, and I get ready for work. Since there are no big meetings for me today, I dress down and look more like a temp staff LOL
I set off to work and make the 10-minute walk to my office building...
I have a friend, J, who loves to shop for stuff. She gave me 2 boxes of teas just because. While I appreciate the thought, I look like a hoarder in the office because I have a kabajillion boxes of teas. I did just manage to finish 2 boxes last week, and I was elated in my dwindling number of boxed teas... and she goes and gives me 2 new boxes... I didn't even tell her I finished 2 boxes of teas. I didn't even post on anywhere! WHY!!!!!!!????? So I started and tried the Rose and lotus leaf tea.
It's work, so I can't really divulge much of what I do. I spent the morning growing through some documents and approvals for the Boss. I lazed out on Friday so I had quite a backlog. There's some stuff from February that finally someone sent in their endorsement on it, so I was able to tick them off too.
One of the tasks I had to do today was check out the requirement for applying a visa to the USA. Allow me to rant for a bit. USA. Money country. If I'm not from a visa waiver eligible country, I need to pay a freaking $160 USD for an interview!????? An INTERVIEW????? And then it's not even guaranteed that I'd get the visa? And IF I am from a visa waiver eligible country, I don't need to get a visa, but I still have to pay (what was it, $49 I think?) for a not-a-visa-BUT-it-technically-IS-a-visa paper that says "Yes, this person is allowed to come into the US"... and still with a chance to be denied entry? Thank the heavens I have never ever felt the urge to visit USA. Nah. Not going.
Lunch came up so I sat down at the cafe with grilled seafood and the book I'm currently reading. Ten Thousand Doors of January. I'm about 40% in, I get what the story is about, but I can't get into the story sorry. But I will read on... albeit slowly....
After lunch, I went for my usual walk outside. Once summer proper arrives, I can't do that anymore because it will be too hot. I walked past the "Military Club", the St. Clara garden next to that, and then walked all the way to Vasco de Gama park, and then walked back.
Something came up later and I had to work in my Boss' office. So this was my 10-minute of feeling superior in a nice private office LOL.
Soon, it was time to leave work. Walk back home. Went on a detour to get some milk for my breakfast on the way though.
Frankie is about the only one that greets me with any enthusiasm! I forgive the other 2 because they are old, old dogs! I forgot to shoot tonight's dinner (it was delicious!) and then it was time for the night time dog walk.
After the dogs have eaten, I do a bit of stretching exercise. I'm still trying to get my mindset into the more rigorous workouts but I still have a bit of a lazy streak. I broke it last week when I went for a run on Sunday and did a couple of workouts on that week... but I've reverted back to being lazy. This is me trying to pick it back up.
After the stretch, I took a shower then hopped into bed for some UNhealthy Netflix binging. And you see, even for Netflix binging I'm too lazy to bring out the laptop nor the iPad... and I'm still watching from the small screen phone. I'm soooo lazy.....
Finally, after brushing teeth (I did just munch on stuff!) I lie back down in bed, enjoy the dim lights, and decide to forget about the journal. I can just double-entry tomorrow. Right now, I'm just feeling the cool breeze from the window and winding down. And soon it will be lights off for me.
