Friday Five 21-April
Saturday, 22 April 2017 14:571. Do you like traveling or are you counting the minutes until the transporter is perfected?
A combination of both - once I have settled everything about the transportation, then I don't mind traveling/enjoying for a bit. For example - If there's a major transportation point (say, to another city), then I would fret about it until I've found the station, found the ticket counter, found the boarding point, then know more or less the time needed to get to the station, then I can go back to, I dunno, the city center and enjoy. So I usually make sure to scout the place and buy the tickets (if we can pre-buy tickets) a couple days earlier.
2. If you could visit any country in the world right now, where would you go?
Greece!
3. What is your favorite form of travel?
I guess I only don't like to travel by car, but I've never done a road trip, so I can't say for sure.
I like about any form of travel, it really depends on the person, how I feel that day.
I like air travel enough, but for long-haul flights, I loathe going on day flights.
I like short cruises (like, river cruise type), but I've never been on a long cruise, though I think I'd get tired of 4-sides of sea around me soon enough if I have to stay there for a week.
So far I really like train travel, and I don't have much to complain about trains. Though, my current statement caters to Austrian/German trains only. I'm sure a China train will scar me for life.
4. What is the longest vacation/holiday that you’ve ever been on?
It's not exactly a "vacation" as I was working, but I did a 2-month internship in Lisbon, and it was a blast as I went somewhere every weekend.
5. Would you travel for a living?
It all sounds very romantic and ideal but I'm more of a practical person, so no. I think I'll appreciate it more if I work for a few months then take a few days off to travel, rather than being always on the road. Besides, I get homesick too!
