1: What did you do in 2015 that you’d never done before?
Took up an active senior position in a volunteer group. I used to only do sporadic volunteer work like dog-walking and dog-sitting on a when I'm available basis, but this year I've put in more effort in the animal welfare thing. I'm part of the founding members group and part of the board of directors, and I've also taken the administrator job more seriously - going to meetings (even if it means getting home past midnight). It's tiring, but at the same time, rather satisfying.

2: Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
The problem is, I don't even remember what my new year's resolutions were for 2015. I could probably search through the LJ (and I did check, I didn't make a resolution list for this year)
I did make 10 points for 2016 two days ago though.

3: Did anyone close to you give birth?

3. What books do you have on request at the library?
None. I don't know how to use the request button on the Library website. But I have enough books on hand waiting for me to read anyway, so I don't really need that function.

Supposedly it's Nightmare Before Christmas, but I don't remember exactly how Jack looks.

Oh boy I was so exhausted yesterday I totally forgot about the drawing meme.

Drawing Meme Day 5 - Best FriendMy friend Carol (Carolina). She hates my recalling the story of how we became friends, because she thinks it's very embarassing.
We've been classmates probably since forever (Kindergarten) but we became really close in Primary 6 (Grade 6), specifically, on June 1st in that year.

It was her birthday, and for I don't know what reason (she doesn't remember either), she came up to me and asked me "It's my birthday today. Can you give me a present?" and I said "sure, let's go to 雅明 (a back-then very popular mini-mall for school kids in the area)". We went there, I took her to a (now I know) Taiwan bootleg CD Shop called Teenager, and asked her to choose a CD. She chose some Ranma 1/2 CD (I don't really remember which) and since then, we started to trade CDs to listen, telling each other what albums were good, what weren't good, what anime to watch, what not to. Thus started our blossoming friendship.

Certainly some event in Form 3 (grade 9?) happened and we simply didn't talk for the whole of Form 4 (grade 10?). And then we were back best of buds in Form 5 (grade 11?) and then we each went our own way, she to the UMAC (University of Macau) and I to the IFT (Institute For Tourism Studies). I should have gone with her to UMAC because there was that Japanese Business Administration course that Carol took, and she spent a year in Japan *envy*envy* whereas I stayed always in Macau, and was duped regarding the chance to have my internship in Japan (the registry kept saying "wait for the application announcement!" but when the announcement came, it was about a student having gone and come back from the internship already)

Now, she works in a rivaling company, but we still keep in touch regularly. Just tonight, we're going to the stupid tailor I talked about. Fun times, huh...

Sorry, I couldn't resist to add that worm. Which reminds me of a joke

Q: What's worse than finding a worm in your apple/peach/(fruit of your choice).
A: Finding half a worm in your apple/peach/(fruit of your choice).

I came up with this little joke when we were memorizing a poem about a peach in elementary school. I don't remember the whole poem, but the last two lines went like this:

"But what made me really blue
was to find a worm bitten into two"

!!!!
