Pois então, esta fim-de-semana foi agradável. Como na Sexta-feira passada eu fui ao tal Happy Hour com o chefe e colegas, estive de ressaca no Sábado. Mas também tive muita sorte que as dores de cabeça que tive não foram tão mal. De manhã escrevi umas atas do reunião do dia anterior. | So the weekend was ok. Since I went out on Friday night with the Boss and the colleagues, I was hungover on Saturday But I was also lucky that my headache wasn't that bad. In the morning I wrote the minutes for a meeting we had the previous day.

Fui almoçar com os meus pais e depois o empregado da mesa sugeriu-me para a conta para os pais. Para caso, não importava nada e até achei giro que ele teve a coragem para dizer isso. | Then I went for lunch with the parents and the waiter just told me to pay the bill for the parents. I didn't really mind it and even found it amusing that he would suggest that.

À tarde, choveu muito e então fiquei sentada no quarto a ler livros e escrevi duas cartas; uma para uma amiga na Alemanha e outra para uma amiga no Japão. | In the afternoon, e rained, so I stayed in my room reading books and writing letters - I wrote one to a friend in Germany and one in Japan.

Finalmente fiquei na cama a jogar uns jogos. | Finally I stayed in bed and played some games.

Mas no Domingo, foi um pandemónio. Estive a fazer um pouco de limeza no quarto quando notei que algum dos animails mijou num canto do quarto. Por isso, comecei a fazer grande limpeza e consegui me livrar de 6 sacos de lixo! No mesmo tempo, também consegui umas fotografias velhas: | But on Sunday, it got crazy. I was doing some light cleaning in the room when I noticed that some dog had been peeing in a corner of the room. So I started a grand cleaning scheme and I managed to clear out 6 bags of crap from the storage. At the same time, I found some old photos:

O meu pai à 30 anos atrás e a minha cadelinha a Fufu (também chamava-a a Fufa). O meu pai diz que esta foto era para a revista Vanity Fair quando ele trabalhava num hotel novo (à 30 anos atrás). Não sei se creio o que ele disse ou não, mas só posso dizer que já percebo porque a minha mãe casou com ele. Ele foi bastante bonitota! | My Dad some 30 years ago and my dear dog Fufu (also known as Fufa). My Dad says that photo was taken when he was working in a major big hotel and the photo was for Vanity Fair. I don't know if I believe that, but I understand now why my Mom chose to marry him. He indeed is (was?) some eye-candy!

Vamos ter uma fim-de-semana longa porque é um dia feriado na segunda-feira. É o dia Ching Ming. Acho será um dia tal como o dia de Finados. É o dia para que vá ao cemitério e visitar os que já passaram. | We have a long weekend because it's a holiday on Monday. It's the Ching Ming, I think it's something like All Souls' Day. It's the day to go to the cemitery and visit those that have passed.

No entando, eu fiquei com um dia extra de descanso. Que bom! | Meanwhile, I get an extra day off. Great!

Tivemos de levar dois cães ao veterinário ontém para tomar um injecção mensal que precisam. O veterinário viu o meu relógio e disse logo que é um relógio bonito. É só o Apple Watch, que eu náo acho a ter qualquer coisa especial. Gostei bastante da banda (do pulso) mas além disso, achei o relógio por si normal. Sabia que o veterinário é um grande fã do Apple, mas... não sei... | We had to take 2 dogs to the vet yesterday for their monthly shots. The vet saw my watch and said "hey, nice watch!"... It's just the Apple Watch, which I don't really think has anything special. I liked the wrist band, but aside from that, I thought it a pretty standard watch. I knew the vet is a big Apple fan, but... I dunno...


Ontém levamos os cães ao Coloane a passear. O tempo não estava muito bom, mas também divertimos bastante. | Yesterday we also took the dogs to Coloane for a walk. The weather wasn't too good, but we had fun.


E certo que eu sempro ando com este maluquinho... | Of course I was stuck with this crazy dog.


Falando deste maluquinho, aqui vai um vídeo que fiz sobre a luta que tenho de ter com ele todos os dias. Estou a falar cantonênse. | Talking about this crazy dog, here's a video of my fighting with him for the bed, and that happens every day. I'm speaking Cantonese.

E recomeçamos com o blog português aos domingos. Acho que com a prática realmente fica um pouco mais fácil de escrever em português. | So we restart the Sunday Portuguese blog. I do think that with practice it gets easier to write in Portuguese.


Então, hoje, como é domingo, fomos passear os cães ao um dos trilhos cá. Vejam esta foto, começamos no ponto C46, subimos as escadas de pedras, e no C43, o meu pai decidiu explorar o circuito que estava ainda em construção. Quer dizer, fomos à esquerda da rede cor de castanha (ou, o Circuito do Golfe, porque parte da terra do Golfe está lá). | Since it's Sunday, we walked the dogs out in the trails. You can see the photo... we started from point C46, went up up and up the stone steps and at C43, my dad decided to explore a route that isn't even completed yet. That means we went on the brown trail (Golf Circuit, since the local golf course is somewhere up or in there), westwards into nothingness.


Foi uma aventura, porque com um cão maluco na trela e com sapatos que não tem muito agarro, ia escorregando muitas vezes. No fim paramos no ponto C40, e continuamos o passeio para o C38. | It was an adventure, with a crazy overeager dog on a leash and shoes with not much grip... I almost slipped a few times in the wilderness. We ended up in C40, and cut short the trip going towards C38.

Tenho muita sorte que ainda estou viva para contar esta história. | I'm really lucky to still be alive to tell the tale.

À tarde, fiquei em casa para recuperar da ação... a ler, a ler e a ler. Que bom! | The afternoon was spent at home recuperating from the excitement... reading reading and reading. Lovely!

E amanhã tenho de ir trabalhar. Já estou a sentir um pouco melhor, do gripe, acho que mais o medicamento esta noite, amanhã vou ficar tudo bem. Pois, sempre só fico doente quando são férias ou feriados.
And I gotta work tomorrow. I'm feeling a little better from the flu, and I guess after tonight, I should be good tomorrow. Figures I only get sick during holidays and weekends.

O almoço da família hoje só foi com a minha mãe, a irmã, e a prima Carla. Fomos ao Venetian tomar um Yum Cha (Dim Sum) e depois fomos ao UNIQLO e H&M. No UNIQLO queria comprar uns leggings que é feito com o tal Heat-Tech, mas vi as mostras e achei que até o tamanho XL também não hade servir me. Decidi não riscar.
The family lunch today was only with my Mom, my sis and my cousin Carla. We went to the Venetian for Yum Cha (Dim Sum) and after we went to UNIQLO and H&M. I wanted to get some leggings with Heat-Tech technology, but looking at the samples, I thought even in XL it's not gonna fit. I decided not to risk it.

No H&M consegui uma saia e uma blusa, mas não julgava que agora tenho de usar saias com tamanho 40... mas ainda na outra loja (ESPRIT, acho eu) que consgui saias com tamanho 38. Tenho de mesmo vijiar os meus hábitos de comer.
At H&M I managed to find a skirt and a blouse, although I was shocked to see I need to wear a size 40... I managed to get a skirt at size 38 at ESPRIT. I really have to check my eating habits.


O que acham desta fotografia? Eu gostei bastante. Pois, o parte de baixo é o ceu e o parte de cima é o refleção do lago. É giro!
What do you think of this photo? I liked it. It's flipped. The bottom part is the sky and the upper part is the reflection of the lake. I thought it neat!

No meu trabalho, como estou numa classificação elevada (bem, ainda sou small potato comparado com o meu chefe), eu tenho subsídio de almoço se não vou ao cantina. Normalmente vou ao restaurante que fica mesmo na porta do escritório. É um tal Delicatessen e serve salsichas, sanduíches, pães, e saladas.
Since I reached a certain grade level at work (still a small potato though), I get subsidized for lunch if I don't go to the canteen. Normally I go to the restaurant right outside my office, it's a type of a Deli counter and serves mainly sandwiches, bread, salads, cold cuts, etc...

Adoro o Club Sandwich mas sempre demora muito tempo para preparar, por isso não posso pedir sempre.
I love the Club Sandwich there, but it takes too long to prepare so I can't always have it.


A porção é mesmo justo, porque não tem muito pão, e tem salada. Normalmente eu não ligo o bacon, mas também é muito bom! A salada que vem com este sanduíche é o melhor, acho eu. Será porque vem servido com um molho de salada de sésamo. Também gosto deste prato porque não é servido com patatas fritas.
The portion is just right, there isn't a lot of bread. I normally forget about the bacon, but it's delicious as well!. The salad that comes with it is what I love. It could be because of the sesame dressing. This is also good because it doesn't come with french fries.

Ontém à noite decidi a fazer as unhas sozinha, pois e tratei me das mãos. Para o Natal fui com um cor prateado num dedo. Antes de ir de férias em Janeiro vou ter de ir ao salão de beleza para fazer um manicure própio. Realmente acho que tenho dedos curtos...
And last night I decided to do my nails. For Christmas, I went with one finger with some silver. Before I leave for my holidays in January I need to go get a proper manicure. I really think my fingers are short... :-/
