I'm going to sound like a right brat, but then, well, I admit, I am a brat towards my sister.

So while the parents are out in Europe, we have to keep house here. Due to the better flexibility I have at my job, I take an extra day off every week, so I'm off Friday, Saturday and Sunday, whereas my sis continues to have her Sunday and Monday off. It all sounds peachy and nice but hey, the extra day off comes out of my paid time off balance, so it's an expense on my part.

Anyway, the reason why is, we have a new "part-time maid" who comes in Mondays and Fridays morning to clean the apartment. Essentially, we can just open the door then leave for work while she does the job, and then she can close the door on her way out.

1. We aren't particularly worried about theft, we don't really have much of value, and if she really wants to make off with our TV, she can go for it.
2. We don't know if she'll bully the dogs and cats
3. What if she mistakenly leaves and either of the cats or dogs run out without her noticing?
4. Not sure what the big dog would do to her if nobody's home - especially when she uses the vacuum cleaner.

Anyway, the reasons are mainly because of the dogs. So I had to take an extra day off every week to keep an eye on her.

She mainly just does the dusting, sweeping, vacuum, mopping, window cleaning... quite a lot of work for our large-ish apartment.

So I've been doing our laundry for a few days. And I even cooked twice. And I even made enough for her "lunch box" the next day at work.

My sis has the tendency to get lazy and skimp of work. Okay, she's the one that wakes up early and prepares the dogs' breakfast, but I've been preparing those the night before already, so well.

It's like, she'll start with doing the laundry (bedsheets, etc), so she does the laundry. Then puts them in the dryer. The washing machine is a little old, so we usually let the machine rest a bit between washes. And she'll forget about the rest of the laundry.

So I was cleaning up her mess, doing the underliners, then the clothes, clothes mainly because of her only, as she has a uniform and so we have to start the machine rather frequently. If it were up to me I'd only do the laundry once a week.

Anyway, so I made dinner, did the laundry, folded the laundry, divided the clothes, did the dishes and all that.

I'm not looking for a thank you, it was just some regular housework.

But then the other day, I did a load of laundry and put them in the dryer, and then I forgot about them.

So any other person, I assume, will see the dryer is full, and take all the laundry out, and hey, let's fold it and divide it up to what belongs to who.

But noooooo. My sis only took her uniform out. The rest? left in the dryer.

She leaves her dirty lunch box in the sink.... it's hers to wash, but she leaves it in the sink like someone will wash it for her.

I flipped at that. So I'm silent protesting now. I made my lunch today, and I had my dinner before she came back. I'm nice enough to prepare all the ingredients and food for her. She can cook it herself. I also did the laundry, hey, I even took them out of the dryer! But you think I'm going to fold it? No. Just dumped the clean basket on her bed. She can fold them herself. Hey, at least I divided the clothes already.

What? Just because I have 3-day weekends then I get more work to do at home? Don't forget the paid time off is honestly earned after enduring god knows what at my workplace.

So that's what I've been doing. Binge-watching Netflix (NCIS LA is starting to get really boring and predictable by season 6), cooking myself lunch, preparing the dogs' food, reading, working on my little side project, using the foot massage thing, and generally just lazing around the whole day.

Yay to that.
