Friday Five 11-May
Saturday, 12 May 2018 00:271. Do you mostly prepare your meals at home or do you eat out more?
I can cook if I need to, but I prefer to eat out. I really hate doing the dishes.
2. Is there a time of day when you are more likely to buy food already prepared?
Does this mean pre-marinated things or microwave meals type of things? When I deign to cook, I don’t get pre-marinated things. Those are usually too salty. As for microwave meals, it’s not mainstream here yet, but there’s a Taiwanese brand that’s actually good. Frozen pizzas are great though.
3. What is your average weekly grocery bill (for how many people)? What is your total restaurant/fast food bill for an average week?
My restaurant bills would be significantly higher as I eat out more, but my lunches are reimbursed by my work so actual spend is pretty low too. If I do cook, groceries tend to be low too as I only buy what I need on that day’s morning.
4. What is your favorite meal to prepare at home?
I like to do a pangusius fillet baked in a tinfoil thing - everything (potatoes, tomatoes, onions, garlic) wrapped in a tinfoil then just bake. Minimal washing as I’ll only need to wash the soiled tray, haha!
(Forgot to say when I really do cook, I cook for myself only. Dad is a chef and it’s almost like he forbids us to use the kitchen when he’s around)
5. What is your favorite meal to order in a restaurant?
Depends on the restaurant. I usually already have a “pre-set” menu in my head when I know which restaurant I’ll be going.
