Say hello to Frankie!
His story (wrote about it a couple days ago, but this is the full story):
I saw on Facebook on a Saturday about a lost Frenchie. I thought “meh, Frenchie. Cute breed. People must be fighting to help this dog. I’ll sit back and relax and ignore him”.
Fast forward 2 days to Monday. A new post on Facebook. Poor dog was still wandering alone. I’m not letting that dog sleep another night outside.
Went to pick him up, found him, but a girl was there. She was looking for a ride to take him to a rescue group. Figured I’d give them the ride. Dropped him off at the rescue, they asked if I could foster. I said I don’t do fosters, I do forevers only.
Dog stays at shelter for a week. No one comes up for him. Meanwhile many people ask the shelter to let them adopt the dog. Shelter makes it clear dog is not up for adoption.
Shelter arranged to neuter him, then gets him his dog license, and I bring him home on 20-Dec.
Smart little bugger. Way too smart. Definitely not for novices. Our old dogs (18, 14 and 10) are grumpy because, duh, young annoying dog (1-ish) LOL.
Took 2 days to potty train him. Knows the sit command. I’m going to work on more commands in the coming days. Initiates fight with my 10-year old but I think it’s more he wants to play and the 10-year old doesn’t speak (normal) doglish. The 14-year old lady won’t put up with his shit, so the kid doesn’t bother her. The 18-year old only snaps at him when he tries to dry hump him.
It’s now very lively at home, lol.
