Friday Five double
Saturday, 18 April 2020 16:16I missed doing the Friday Five last week, so today I'm doubling up and doing both weeks!
Last week's
1. What’s the weather outside your window doing right now? If that’s not inspiring, what’s the weather like somewhere you wish you could be?
Weather outside now is overcast but not raining. Feels like it will rain though...
2. What’s for breakfast? Lunch? Dinner?
Made my usual oatmeal with banana for breakfast. Lunch I had a Vietnamese shrimp mung but it didn't taste anything like what I would imagine a vietnamese mung would be.... I hear dinner will be Portuguese Baked Duck Rice, yummy!
3. What are things you can’t go without?
Go, as in, go what? I will always go around with my handbag, coz it has essentials inside, though I probably haven't really used any of these "essentials" in the past few weeks lol, only been using the house keys and the shopping bag regularly
4. How did your parents choose your name?
I didn't ask, but I suppose it was to have a name that started with a "K" so that it matched with my sister's.
5. If you could travel back in time, where and when would you go?
I never think about that as it practically won't happen, and I think I'm good where I am right now, so no thanks.
This week's
1. Have you ever been in or caused a car accident?
Not big accidents. I was once on a roundabout, and I was in my lane turning left (lights on), but the stupid car that was on my left wanted to go straight (for the record, his lane was a must-turn-left, whereas my lane was a can-turn-left-or-can-go-straight. It was a small scratch on his car, it was my first accident ever, and I didn't know better. I let the guy bully me to paying "damages", but I think I had an inkling of smarts as I said he should go to my mechanic. In the end, my mechanic accused him (off record) of bullying young girls and that his car was all scratched to start with, and that he was sure he's only looking to get paid but not fixing his car. My mechanic paid the guy $500 (around USD$60 or so, rather inconsequential amount, at the end of the day). So my mom told me to pay back the mechanic $600 for his help, and mechanic taught me, no matter how big or small or whatever the accident, don't get out of the car, and just call the traffic police right away. No matter what. Just call the police. That's the takeaway I got from this incident.
2. Have you ever had a happy accident?
erm. No? I guess? Can't think of one, if there was on ever.
3. Have you ever done anything ‘accidently on purpose’ and regretted it?
LOL what would even accidentally on purpose mean
4. Do you think the kitchen or the bathroom in your house has seen more accidents?
Kitchen, definitely!
5. Do you believe nothing happens by accident but rather by destiny?
I sometimes say "it's destiny!" but it's more in jest/exaggeration than anything whenever I say that. Destiny, what destiny?
