I have been having a couple of weird incidents in my room. A while ago the Frenchie toppled a porcelain water bottle and broke it, I think I mentioned.

A couple weeks back, I broke my nifty tea-brewing bottle. Guess a towel or piece of clothing got over it and when I pulled said material, off the bottle went as well. Then I decided to buy another one, exact same bottle.

It was only out of the box for 1 day when my wall mirror miraculously broke off from the nail, dropped on my table, toppled everything on it and broke my replacement bottle. Duh.

We were making jokes about my room being spooked, but I refuse to believe that because it's a (maybe Chinese?) saying that... a pair of dogs ward off spirits. So you can't just have 1 dog. You need 2 dogs to ward off any spirits. And we have 4! Double the protection!

And.... this morning I was lazing away on my bed, got thirsty, so I went into the kitchen to drink some water, got back, and my room was flooded.

What bottle did I have? I had no bottles! I had no water! I had no mugs, glasses, cups, whatever! The walls are dry so it's not dripping walls. Burst pipe somewhere? But why is everything else dry and just the floor flooded!? I looked at one of my dogs and he was soaked as well. Poor dog! But what happened!?

After removing a couple of things from the floor (like, a shoe box that's all dripping and best be disposed of) and mopping up the water, I still couldn't figure out where the water was coming from. So I switched on the air con on and put it in dehumidifier mode, and put a fan on to blow on towards the floor. I had their other dehumidifyer on and let it run, while I went to get a towel to dry the dog.

..... and the ground was flooded again! Not as seriously as earlier, but still!

Then I found out... the dehumidifyer I had in my room has a slot for a nozzle/pipe so that it can drain the water directly, instead of collecting the water in the built-in bucket. The stopper for that slot came off (I'm guessing all thanks to the Frenchie again) and so it was basically........... pouring water out.

Mystery solved. There are no spirits or poltergeists in my room.

On another note, I cleaned out all my fountain pens and refilled them, test written them and this morning also finally sat my ass down to write some long-needed letters.
