From internationally bestselling author Harlan Coben comes this second action-packed installment of his bestselling Mickey Bolitar series.
When tragedy strikes close to home, Mickey Bolitar and his loyal new friends—sharp-witted Ema and the adorkably charming Spoon—find themselves at the center of a terrifying mystery involving the shooting of their friend Rachel. Now, not only does Mickey have to continue his quest to uncover the truth about the Abeona Shelter, the Butcher of Lodz and the mysterious death of his father, he needs to figure out who shot Rachel—no matter what it takes.
Mickey has always been ready to sacrifice everything to help the people he loves. But with danger just seconds away, how can he protect them when he’s not even sure who—or what—he’s protecting them from?

erm.... I got pretty annoyed with the cliche and the tropes of YA or teen novels LOL. I didn't really like the book.
I probably would have liked the book better if I were in my teens though. The suspense was fun. I kind of can't believe the ending, I was totally off my game in terms of guessing the ending, so kudos to that. And for the record I rather enjoyed Spoon LOL. He was random, but funny, though, very very cliched too.
I probably should have read Book 1 first as well. This was supposed to be for the challenge prompt #20, a book whose title begins with the last letter of your previous read, but this has nicely fallen into prompt #24 A book you can read in one sitting.
