Getting my Mojo back
Friday, 17 November 2023 13:40Well it seems as if with the (somewhat) botched Italy trip, my planning mojo is back.
I've picked up speed with planning my upcoming Taipei trip. I think I've got enough activities packed in, that would give me time to explore the breakfasts, and meander the streets on the way to select destinations, and enough time in the late afternoons for any shopping that comes to my fancy. Not going to the big night markets, I always preferred the smaller local ones.
I've been not-quite-sick. I felt the symptoms of a flu coming last week, so I went to the doctor. My flu never came, but I'm now in the after-flu stage of hacking my lungs out. I'm sort of feeling half cheated. If I have to suffer the cough, I might as well have suffered the flu.
It's currently the Grand Prix in Macau, and I have a piece of ridiculous news to share!
So, in one of a races, apparently a young guy won. Don't really know who and what race, just that he's young. Not drinking age in Macau young (I forget if it's 18 or 21 here).
So he won, prize giving and all that, and then, there was the champagne shower. Aaaaaaaannnnddddd. The guy took a sip of champagne. Underaged. And this little action has become a local hot news, WTF.
I say, if he's old enough to be racing cars and winning it, sure, he's old enough to drink a sip from the celebratory shower thing. Now there's the group of people who's pushing for punishment, the group of people who's apologizing, the group of people who's scared shitless (mostly the staff from the racing committee). So. It's a sh*tshow. All over a small matter. Meh.
