I believe I mentioned something about it in my voice post some time ago, so I'm going for a little more elaboration.

Notte --> "night" in Italian. I was in a mysterious, foreign language, dark phase at that time. Checking my profile, I think that's just about right... I was in my 3rd year in University in 2003, and I believe around that time, we had that English lecturer called KK (yes, she told people to call her that) that we were "running" our own under-the-table private book discussion group. KK was never my lecturer, but it was nice talking to an English lecturer that: 1) Really speaks English, 2) Speaks English WELL, 3) Reads books as well, and 4) Doesn't party at night and then cancel the morning 8:30am class at 10:00am (Yes Chris, I'm talking about you, you spineless loser. I could have done your job for you)
Right. English classes in University is a sore spot for me, and is a completely different story to tell.
It was because of this book discussion thing we had, that prompted me to read my books again (I had hit a slump and had slacked for a 2 years). And it so happens that the books I had sitting on my shelf were all Anne Rice, Darren Shan, Bram Stoker, etc, etc... So yeah. I was going dark. And I wanted "Night". But I didn't want it in Portuguese "Noite", and somewhere along the line, with Babelfish (ah~ nostalgia!) gave me "Notte" as the Italian word for "night"
I guess the 0 behind was just because the username notte was taken.
If I could ever change the username? Well, if the chance arises, I would. I'm now in my "kat" phase, and I think it's here to stay. I think I've sort of outgrown "made-up-fantasy-alias" and just about for any new webservice I apply for, the username I use nowadays is either elusivek or elusivekat anyway. So maybe I haven't outgrown anything yet, as I'm still going for the mysterious, hard to catch, elusive part, haha! The only thing stopping me from making the change is money. I don't really need the username elusivek, so why bother? I won't die not having that username anyway.
So yeah, that's my story.
