Happy 2017 (?)

First off, Happy New Year!

And sorry for the long delay in posting. A few things first:

I got a couple of Christmas Cards from some LJ friends. I didn’t have time to reply and say thank you yet, and I will do so promptly.

I’m sorry I didn’t have time to send any Christmas cards this time, December was just too crazy a month for me to do anything. I’ll instead be sending Chinese New Year cards, within next week. Anyone wants, inbox me your addresses.

New Year, New Life? Maybe? But I’m not holding on to that thought. I’m just going to pick up what I left off in November 2016 – December was really just too crazy. Things I actually completed in my 2016 resolutions: Post Wordless Wednesdays and Friday Fives – I think I got pretty well done on these 2. I did miss the last 2 Wordless Wednesdays (crazy December) and a couple of Friday Fives (I remember 2 were topics totally not in my area, and then again crazy December). Continue with that in 2017.

New resolutions? I think I’ve put my exercise plan pretty well up till November 2016, so I’m picking that up – I’m not considering that as a “new” resolution though. I want to firm up on my eating habits though, so that will be one the main resolution items.

1. Schedule my time better:

a. Exercise Time

b. “Me” time

c. Reading Time

d. Study time

e. Piano time

f. Blogging time

2. Eat better

a. Food diary – maybe?

b. Cut sugar

Funny point on cut sugar – we need to finish our Christmas cookies first, so that probably can only start in February. Duh. It’s an excuse, but it’s also not an excuse, as that’s a Mom-mandated thing. “FINISH THE COOKIES”

3. Live on a budget

a. I’m not in the red, but I think I can do a little more on budget control. Just, don’t splurge, is what I mean (though I know that’s a very difficult thing to upkeep)

4. Read more books (2016 target 12 books achieved. 2017 target 15 books)

5. Do 1 (one) solo trip

6. Socialize more at work. I understand with more socialization then I get exposed to more BS and politics play, but, it’s about time I came out of my shell.

I think these are achievable. I think.
