1. Have you ever had a movie both totally captivate and complete confuse you?
*Thinking* I can't really recall any particular movie, but I know I have watched certain movies that captivated and confused me brilliantly... the more "mundane" kind of captivate and confuse would be Life of Pi. Beautiful graphics, but the ending confused me... if it's "Life of Pi" so why did it just stop when he shored? What about the time from his getting ashore and up to before the interview? (more a question for the book, really). I think maybe Inception was one of them too. The swirling.... thing at the end sort of kept the movie open-ended.

2. When watching a movie, do you prefer things all laid out or to have to 'hunt for your own clues' along the way?
I would rather to "hunt for my own clues" but then it has to be carefully done... if the clues are way too hard to hunt for then I lose interest hahaha, it has to be easy-ish to find, but not too obviously easy or cliche,... say like in the new Maleficent, when the Prince kissed sleeping beauty and she didn't wake up, and then somewhere along the way they mentioned again "true love", I guessed it meant Maleficent herself, because true love developed between them. (Though that was one of the more obvious ones though) ok, I guess I'm contradicting myself.

3. Do you want an ultimate ending to your movie or do you prefer to have it open for conjecture and discussion.
Depends on the mood. Like with books, I went through a period of "feeling like reading vague endings" (usually by Japanese authors), but now I'm over that and I'd like to read concrete all loose-ends tied up ending books.

4. Do you talk during a movie (preferably one in your home, not in the theatre)?
In the cinema, there would be a laugh or a shriek or an ewe here and there, but not outright talk talk talk. At home, I'd be talking back at the characters. "You fool! Where are your eyes!? Are you stupid!??"

5. Have you ever seen a blockbuster movie and not get what was so great about it?
Not sure what I've seen are blockbusters, but a couple of years back, my friend absolutely swore on Twilight and said "I read reviews, they say it's great!" and bugged me to go watch with her. I thought it crap and I guess she also got disillusioned about it.
