So... I bough a new bag last week when I was in Hong Kong. And it was a new challenge for me as it’s a clutch bag, and I have managed to downsize my worldly possessions.
One silly reason is: since now I sit in a wide open area office, it’s easier to lock a smaller clutch bag in my cupboard, and if I do leave a little before actual off work time, it’s not so noticeable, as my clutch bag also looks like a meeting folder LOL!

Here’s how it looks. Yes, it’s quite full... but that’s the most I could downsize to... bare essentials.

Here it goes:
Right, so that’s my new tiny bag. I need to get used to having so minimal stuff!

Here’s how it looks. Yes, it’s quite full... but that’s the most I could downsize to... bare essentials.

Here it goes:
- The bag itself
- This plushy dog charm thing is actually a card holder (think top up IC money cards like Oysters/Octupus/Suica/etc)
- My work phone. My private phone has a strap and I hang it around my neck, and it’s the one I used to take this photo, so it’s not in here.
- My iPad. I’ve started taking it with me because I now do my lunch break readings from my iPad instead of my Kindle (one less item to bring along, and the iPad can be used to view my work related documents if I’m in a meeting)
- My Apple AirPods
- Tissue pack
- Power bank pouch (with cable)
- Coin bag (so my wallet is not too bulky and I can ditch it if need be)
- Hand Cream
- My business card case which doubles as my mirror. Which now I noticed, I missed one item because it’s so dark! Next to the AirPods is a lipstick!
- My (also new) wallet. It has a tiny pouch in it so I downsized my home keys (only the 2 door keys, no post box key, no fancy key chain. Just a plain key ring). This wallet also has a separate piece of card holder, so that’s got all my essentials (ID and 1 money card) and minimal money, so that if for some reason I need to ditch the rest of the wallet I can just hold onto that card holder piece.
Right, so that’s my new tiny bag. I need to get used to having so minimal stuff!
