elusivekI don’t think I’ve posted our tree this year. It’s simple, a plastic tree already with some pine cone and the red berries decoration. We just added the string lights and the star.
Some random tidbits around the house. Dad was in hospital 2 weeks ago, so he didn't have much time to make too many cookies.
At least hey seemed to have fun with the dogs.
This year’s haul? Eclectic. I honestly wouldn’t mind receiving bath stuff and candles. But a cousin decided to gift me a wallet. Not looking at the teeth of a gifted horse, but I haven’t used a proper wallet in almost a year… and I use smaller handbags now so it won’t fit. The most important thing is… it doesn’t look nice lol. If it were a plain black think then it’s fine, but it’s got a stitched monogram thing, and it’s just bleh. It didn’t come in a box, so I can’t gift it out later.
Mom got me pyjamas. They look nice thin, would be nice for here, it hardly gets super cold anyway.
Mom’s rich lady friend gifted me a Zara top, which by her usual eccentric tastes was actually quite tame, so I’ll take it. (My sis was not so lucky…) But she also gifted me a Louis Vuitton scarf or shawl thing, and… I’m not a brand person, but my second most hated brand monogram is LV lol (my most hated brand monogram is Fendi haha). Not only that, it’s that screaming red, AND when she wrapped it, she stuck a fake poinsettia (Christmas flower) in there and the stem had thorns like those in a rose and it’s caught onto the scarf, so there’s like, 3 big holes…. So I can’t be cheap and re-gift it lol.
My sis had no idea what to gift me, I asked her what her budget was, she told me, and I chose an item on Taobao (the turquoise-ish badminton racket bag)... I think these are the best gifts of all - what you really needed/wanted, LOL LOL LOL.
