Hello, hello hello! This is Kat from Macau!

I was looking at the date wondering why it was familiar and then it reminded me of the streetname of where a relative lives (it's a date that's the street name) and then also recalled my address in Portugal is also a street name with a particular date.

My GAMDs are usually long and full of photos. Today I didn't do much, so, relatively fewer photos than normal.... still 26 though!

Our usual dog park is now closed for some piping works, so we had to go to another dog park. There are pretty flowers in this dog park!

Back home, after the dogs have eaten, I have my own breakfast of a soft boiled egg and Hot Chocolate. It was very cold last week, and in the week before that, I wanted to "be prepared" and bough a box of hot chocolate (with marshmallows!) so that I can have hot chocolate in the cold! What do you know, of course, I forgot all about it last week, and only today, when it wasn't cold anymore, that I'm drinking it... LOL...

I bought a cardigan online, technically it fits, but the style is supposed to be a lot looser... and the color came out horrendous. Should have chosen the white one. So I'm just going to wear this at home. It's cute because it's got Chinese-style buttons... a pain to button and unbutton them, but so pretty to look at.

After the dogs are settled I get some background music playing in my room and sort out the finances for the shelter/rescue that I volunteer for. I usually do this in a Starbucks, but I was feeling lazy, and I already had a high-calorie drink (the hot choclate), so... just stay home with water for this.

Once serious business is done, I sort out my own hobby things. This month's Hobonichi challenge are mainly sceneries, and I suck at drawing that. But I'll still put in an effort. I drew out the week's prompts the past few days, and left the coloring for today (and anticipated doing tomorrow's prompt as well)

Spent the rest of the morning reading. First in the living room because Mom wanted me to keep an eye on the cat in the verandah, then when the cat came in, I hopped back into my bed. Actually managed to finish the book in one sitting. Then I got about searching for the next book to read, and I got it. It's in my Kindle.

Quick lunch of the Goulash Dad made. Frankie's mad that we aren't sharing with him!

Since I stayed home all morning (except for the dog walk) I decided to go out for a bit, if only just to return the book to the library. The few major sights I walk past on my way include: St. Lawrence's Church, Dom Pedro V Theatre, St. Augustine's Church, and the St. Joseph Seminary. The library is just next to the seminary.

Got home and sorted out a few of my Postcrossing postcards.

We had to go out but this bloody white car is half over our car park entrance. I actually was about to call the traffic police but the guy came running. "There's so much space for you to go out!" he complained. "Let's see what the traffic police says when he sees you parking here with a sigh that says no parking during the day!" Besides, as this is a slope, if we try to swerve over to the other side first to be able to make a larger turn, we scratch the bottom of our car. If my car is going to be scratched ANYWAY, I would sooooooooo like to get yours scratched too. Why should my car suffer alone for you? Frankie agrees!

I went out because I had a late afternoon appointment at a new pet physiotherapy place. Sai Lup has a Cruciate Ligament Rupture which we've known for quite a few years, and nothing really seemed to help his gait, so after hearing about this new place, I decided to give it a visit. I've heard rumours of the vet and didn't like what I hear of him (malpractice and being sued in Hong Kong, so he's run over to Macau and opened a practice here instead) but I figured since it's just physiotherapy and not open surgery, it wouldn't hurt to try. They seem very patient and spent a full 2 hours with Sai Lup.

Back home for dinner (forgot to take photo - it was delicious!), then took the dogs out for their night walk. Frankie was frantic. There's this hotel that shoots light up towards the sky, and Frankie barks at that. I guess he's upset that he's not up there so why is there something up there? Sorry Bruce Wayne, we can't call for you here, the dog will make too much noise, LOL.

Back home it's the usual night rituals. Today I had a little extra work to do. It's the end of the Chinese New Year period. Married people and superiors give out Lai-See to the younger/unmarried people and subordinates. I've amassed quite a collection. I didn't count how much I got this year though. I've just put the stack of cash away to be deposited into the bank next week. I keep these Lai-Sees until the end of the period (usually up to the 15th day after Chinese New Year, also known as Chinese Valentine's Day) because I don't want to compare. People put different amount of money in these envelopes, I don't really like to compare, so I just hoard them until the end of the period. Some people use special surnamed envelopes, so you know whose it's from, but mostly people use the same generic company or bank envelopes.

Then it's just the journal, as usual (funny how today's prompt is "how many photos did you take today?") and watched an episode of Criminal Minds on Netflix.... and I'm going to bed after this.

Hope you enjoyed my relatively quiet day today :-)
