Not quite wordless: Couldn't find a 2005 photo of Menina as... that was pre iPhone times. I remember having some photos of her on my then-phone (Sony Ericsson something) but as of now, no, no photos of her at that time. The earliest I can find is from 2008. Her brown was so brown back then!
Yesterday was Menina's 17th Adoptedversary. We just say it as birthday but we know that's not her real birthday. At the time the vet surmised she was 6-8 months old. This makes her almost 18!
To the vet that told me "Dachshunds only live to around 12 or 13, and now your dog with Cushing's disease and her spine issue, she's probably not going to last that long", well, we've since changed vets and she's almost 18.
