thefridayfive 1. What was the best thing that happened to you this year
Oh, I don't know. That I got my braces out in January? That I still haven't gotten covid yet?
2. What are you looking forward to next year?
With the city finally opening up, I'm looking forward to traveling again!
3. Will you be doing anything special to ring in the New Year?
Nah... Dad just recovered from covid. Sis is still with covid. Mom just got covid. I am seriously considering making that air fryer camembert cheese thing I saw on a Facebook video. Seems simple enough. Using a whole wheel of camembert, slice a few slits on the top, olive oil, your preferred seasoning, and just pop the whole thing in the air fryer; best with a wheel of camembert already in a wooden box. Now the thing is will I be motivated enough to go out today to hunt for a camembert? If I do go out, will I be able to find any camembert cheese in a box?
4. What would you like to see more of next year?

5. What was your best New Year’s Eve ever?
Honestly, I'm a in bed by 10pm sort of person, so I hardly ever go out for the countdown. In my 15 years of working at the current company, I've said I wanted to go see the countdown event every year... but... sorry, my bed calls me loudly.

1. Among people with whom you are not personally acquainted, who most made you laugh in 2022?
I really can't say. I don't go to parties to meet people I'm not acquainted with. Hm... I guess a few of those admins that were able to do those really weird and stupid things? There's no lacking of such incidents but now that I'm trying to think of a particular one, I can't.
2. Among people with whom you are not personally acquainted, who most inspired you in 2022?
Honestly, I don't know either. I suppose there's some manager or another that I was impressed by and wanted to certain workflows to follow their ideas.
3. What were your food discoveries in 2022?
hm.... I suppose that camembert cheese recipe I just wrote above?
4. What were your music discoveries in 2022?
I wouldn't say "music" discoveries, it's more like a "re-discovery" LOL. I've mentioned, as a kid I liked anime and Jpop but at the time I couldn't really read Chinese as I learnt that much later in life. At the time, I liked the first ending song of the anime Slam Dunk but never knew which artist or some name that was. Until recently, Spotify gave me suggestions, and now I know, that was Maki Ohguro 大黒摩季. And in case anyone's curious the song was あなただけを見つめてる. And well, this is just one of the examples. There's a lot of such similar things, I heard a song or an artist I liked but didn't know what/who they were.
5. Where will you be when the clock strikes midnight on January 1?
hm.... same answer as above. Probably in bed. Maybe out of bed in the living room for the cheese and Baileys Irish Cream (if I do go out and successfully get the cheese).
