Date: 2023-07-15 13:48 (UTC)The vet seems very adamant about the surgery. The most pressing is that growth in the eye. But she also has a few fatty lumps here and there (neck, chest, one hind leg). He said he’d leave the fatty lumps as those won’t affect her, but that growth in the eyelid is worrying. And if she has to go under for a bit, might as well do teeth cleaning.
We’ve been with this vet for a long time (after trial and error with a few other vets and clinics).
One thing is for sure, if it comes to surgery, if this particular vet claims to be #2 in town, no other vet is good enough to be #1, so I’m not that worried about his skills. It’s really whether Menina can take the anaesthesia. The vet doesn’t sound worried, said her heart is beating very well. I plan to send her in on a Friday, so I’m home Saturday and Sunday to check on her.
