elusivekThe half year is almost through. Time does fly. Dad's also been in hospital for over a month. He's started to talk to a couple people on the phone. I guess one of the good indicators that he's on the mend is: he's complaining about hospital food. He doesn't seem to realize that it was at one point in time, really, really bad. But all that matters is he's doing a lot better now.
I must say I am very grateful to my Boss, I may sometimes complain about him but in these situations he is a very generous and understanding person. As long as I get my work done, he lets me take longer lunch breaks or other such arrangement to fit visiting time.
I also think it's about time I should get my jogging back on track. I do have a half marathon in October coming up. Four months practice should be enough, I guess? We've got a good visiting schedule going now. I'll visit over lunch and give Mom a ride home on my way back to work, then Sis will visit in the evening and give Mom a ride home. So I should be able to get some running on my way home from work at least a couple days a week.
I went to my ceramics workshop this morning but apparently it's a holiday today. Dragon Boat Festival. Oh well. So I called up my friend who was supposed to be going as well, and said let's go for brunch instead. One of the casino properties has a new food court thing going on and the technology is interesting. And now, one less reason to go to Japan, as the eel restaurant chain うなぎ四代目菊川 has opened up there as well.
I don't think there's anything special going on in June though. Chinese classes are over until maybe August I suppose. Parents' Europe trip obviously cancelled, so there's no "independent 2 months" this year. I keep saying I want to join a gym to supplement my training for the half marathon but schedules and prices aren't cooperating.
Need to check out more places.
