Sunday is a Lazy Sunday today
Sunday, 30 January 2011 11:54Right, I didn't miss the alarm clock, because when it rang at 7am, I did wake up to switch it off... and worked to switch off the snooze as well. And then when I next woke up, it was 8am already.
I had already taken a hot bath the previous night, so there was no need for the morning rush. The hot bath was good, if not for the Irish sea salt (it looked more like beach sand to me) that I added, thinking to use it up as it was a gift from the boss last year. I might decide to simply dump the whole box. I slept exceptionally well last night, might be because of the bath helping me keep warm?
Anyway, so I just got up, got dressed and went to walk the dogs. After taking the babies home, I went down to the nearest McD's for breakfast.
OK... I admit it... this is hardly a healthy breakfast...
But it was my aunt that enticed us into going to McD's for breakfast. Every time is she back in Macau, she would ask us out for a hot-cakes breakfast at least once. So it's more like a ritual than anything else. It was either this above, or this "with-love" sandwich that Dad usually makes for breakfast:
Not to say I don't like it. Dad makes sure he has good, fresh breads, the best hams (parma ham and what other-and-other cold cuts from Europe) and also sinfully yummy cheese, also with just-rightly-fried eggs with a slightly runny yolk... Nothing beats all that. I'll take it as a "reunion breakfast" with my aunt.
I intend to be more rigorous with the home-made lunch. Like I always joke in Chinese, it's either "Lunch Box with Love" ( 愛心飯盒) or "Last Night's Leftovers" (食凈飯宋). I also to intend to quit with my post-lunch coffee when I'm at work. I'm not really a coffee freak, and that's why I load my coffees with sugar and a lot of creamer. I've stocked up on Earl Greys and Green Tea with Lemons... my aunt suggests Grean Tea with Lemons and Ginger. I am also going to re-locate the "chocolate shelf" that sits right behind me... to either the pantry or behind my colleague's seat, and instead load my snack shelf with fruits.
Since I'm on the topic of lunch boxes, this is my most recent "Last Night's Leftovers" :D
edit/// I just noticed I started the post subject with "Sunday is a Lazy Sunday" but I never wrote about my plans for today - which is really, none. haha
