Panic Attacks 101
Tuesday, 17 May 2011 14:59Argh... on Sunday night, I was coughing so badly that, yes, sorry to be gross, I puked. I think I coughed so much, that my lungs were totally out of air, so that suction motion took out stuff from my stomach instead. Neat, no?
So I went to the doctor again yesterday. On the way to the doctor, I passed by MANGO (Boutique) again, and saw that pretty little Owl Necklace that I've been eyeing for the past few months. I'm against buying casual accessories at such a high price, but at that moment, I just went all "Who CARES!!!??" and I bought it.
So now I have one more piece of Owl something in my collection XD
At the doctor's, he didn't believe me when I told him how badly I coughed. Luckily (or not), while we were talking about some other things, an attack came, and I guess I almost coughed my lungs out. There was some wheezing involved, I think. So now he has given me a new set of medication. Oh, also an inhaler. He guarantees that I won't turn reliant on it, and told me to only use it when I have a very bad coughing fit.
One of the syrups he gave me though, is a killer. It's a Salbutamol something, which I later found out it's the same stuff as the inhaler. The doctor said that after taking this syrup, I might be feeling some palpitation, that it is normal reaction, that I should not worry, I do not have a heart attack, which... well, I didn't think much of it in the beginning, but now I know it's really scary.
To me, Palpitation = Panic Attacks. Prolonged panic attacks. My first dose was a couple of hours before bed, so I didn't really know how long it would last, but my second dose this morning... since 9am... I'm still having this increased heartbeat rate panicky feeling... so yeah.
And yes, this has suppressed my cough miraculously. I still have a few bouts of coughing here and there, but nothing like that puking-inducing cough I had on Sunday night.
