Continuing education and other stuff
Monday, 4 July 2011 23:10It's OFFICIAL! The Education department has finally announced the Continuing education subsidy plans!
Well, they've announced it, but a lot of things are yet to be confirmed... so there's still no actual school list.
What is happening is this: The Education Department here has decided to provide a subsidy for all local residents aged 15 and up a MOP $5000 subsidy (did not specify if it was per year or per 3 years) for any continuing education that they do. So if you decide to go learn something in an approved school, and you are aged 15 and up, then you get a subsidy. If you spent $3000 on a course, you get $3000 in return, until your $5000 is out.
At least that's what I understand.
Problem is, the approved school list isn't out yet.
I was hoping to use that money to go back into either Japanese or French.
Another thing with surprise extra cash is... it totally escaped my mind that I just got my June paycheck... where the second half of my 2010 bonus would be in. It was a nice surprise. I was again looking at purses and wallets, and I'm still loving a couple from Anna Sui, but I don't think I'll be replacing my wallet yet. I say so now, but I think soon I will replace it. Oh I don't know.
Chinese dictation tomorrow. Still a lot of words I can't remember. I tried recording my readings on he phone and then playing it back out so I could dictate the words. Neat way to study, but again, it gets boring. But also I kind of know which few characters are those I have to pay attention to.
But, any more studying now and I'll just pass out. I'm going to bed now. Bye!
