The Hong Kong news media
Thursday, 27 December 2012 15:03Perhaps not to the extent of the usual pre-concieved UK vs. France type of rivalry, but Hong Kong and Macau are usually at odds with each other in some form or another. Recently, we have this:

I will translate the general gist of what the Hong Kong reporter had to say about this Macau Policeman.
This Policeman from Macau has nothing to do and goes help an old lady push her cart. Doesn't he know that the true obligations of a policeman is to ensure the safety of the citizens? Instead of lazing around doing random stuff, he should make sure that robbers and thieves are not around. If a Hong Kong policeman is caught by their heads that they are doing this, he can expect to be scheduled to just work as a guard in some countryside place. That a Macau policeman has so much time and nothing to do that he resorts to doing this, shame on Macau.
The Hong Kong reporter must be going bonkers. I find this Macau TRAFFIC Policeman doing his job quite well - no matter how you look at it: he is assisting the elderly, he is supporting the citizens, he is helping the lady push her cart so it does not block traffic, etc... The policeman should be commended for his good work, not ridiculed.
That is all for today...
