My duty meal
Wednesday, 5 February 2014 13:58Just checking in for a min to show you all my glorious lunch! I mentioned getting company subsidized duty meals from now on, and for my first self-paid lunch (which will later be reimbursed), I went for this:
The salad was yummy. The leaves were all crunchy and the bellpepper was literally sweet! I didn't even need much of the thousand island dressing as the greens themselves were so flavorful. Yes, good salad is a hard find over in this part of the world, and when you find it, it does not come cheap. But THIS is company paid (later).
The mushroom soup lacked some mushroomy flavor, but that's as good as it gets. I'm not going to compare the world's cooking to my Dad's (well, deep in my mind I do that every meal, but I hardly ever voice that out. I can never eat out if I do that.)... His mushroom soup is heavenly.
It rained last night and the temperature has dropped. It's nice and cool but distastefully wet. Argh. The True Spring starts now.
