Friday Five 17-February
Saturday, 18 February 2017 21:271. Do you take any daily prescription medications?
I take Viatril daily as prescribed by a doctor some years ago but currently I'm on a one-month hiatus. The doctor told me I should stop for a month every 6 months or so.
I also take a couple of supplements that don't need to be prescribed.
2. Do you take any daily OTC (over the counter) medications?
Just those supplements but they are hardly medication, I think?
3. Do you take vitamins?
No, I don't really need them. In fact, whenever I start taking vitamin C (the tablet that dissolves in water and turns that into a fizzy drink) I then get sick.
4. When you are sick, do you take OTC remedies or immediately go to your doctor?
I used to just take OTC medication but then recently it's sort of proven that those don't work, so I get to the doctor's as soon as possible.
5. Do you take aspirin?
Aspirin's (and ibuprofen) not such a common painkiller over here, here it's more paracetamol than other types of painkiller. I actually prefer ponstan (mefenamic acid?) though that's also rather rare to see here.
That being said, I'm actually quite a masochist and try not to medicate myself for any type of pain I have, even when I have killer migraines. Something my mom hates.
