Observations over the past few days

So... the car being down was one of a string of unfortunate incidents over here... (and the reason/outcome, to save time)

• car went down; it was the oil tank that had a leak so it was empty. Mechanic fixed it and it's running smoothly like a brand new car again, yay.
  
• the fat dog (greedy eater) refused to eat; apparently he was depressed. Not because the parents are not here, but because the parents are not here, we kept the master bedroom door closed, and he couldn't sleep in the master bed. We let him in the second night and so he's eating again. The cheek.
  
• parents complained that Skype wasn't working on Mom's iMac; In trying to fix it, one thing led to another and i updated the machine to the newest OS, Sierra. Everything wireless died (mouse, keyboard, internet), and Skype died too. Got fed up trying to fix it. The next day, I brought a corded keyboard and mouse home to try again. Booted the iMac and miraculously everything fixed itself. Everything's working. Even Skype. WTF?
  

Anyway, everything seems to have been resolved or resolved themselves, so now I can relax!

I took a Friday off last week and the parents spoiled it by ruining my plans for the day... well, now the parents are in Europe, I've taken the next 6 Fridays off so it'll be grand!
