Friday, 28 July 2017 23:33Friday, I have Fridays off these few weeks, and it was not spent being a slob! *victory sign*
I think I'm becoming more and more like my Mom. I always make fun of my Mom in front of my friends of her funny antics. Like, we hire a cleaner to come a few times a week. My Mom's catchphrase? "Clean the apartment before the cleaner comes. Can't let her see the slump we live in!!!!"
We're also supposed to be home whenever the cleaner is here - not because we don't trust her, oh, we trust her plenty, but, we just don't know how the dogs will react to her without us, like when she gets the vacuum out.
Anyway, she was here today, and I don't know, hearing my Mom harping on that all these years... I just couldn't let her work while I slob around. I did the laundry, I cooked. I COOKED. Lazy cooking, but cooking all the same. Lazy cooking as in it was all tin-foil wrapped and popped into the oven, so minimal cleaning needed after, wahaha!
After my lunch, I sat on the massage chair, and binge-watched more stuff on Netflix for a bit, then I cooked for the dogs, wrote a letter (Japanese! I can still write that! But with really shoddy grammar. Need practice).
Ah. Fridays.
I don't know what to do tomorrow. See? I knew it. 3-day weekends sound really wonderful in concept, but when you are having consecutive 3-day weekends for a few weeks, it's gonna get boring. I'm a workaholic. I admit it!
Oh yeah, and a friend stood me up! She got me all riled up about a possible trip to Taichung, Taiwan in August, I got my paid time off in order, then... her application for paid time off got rejected! What's a girl to do with a missing travel partner with approved paid time off? Continue onwards albeit alone! I needed a solo trip anyway. Time to detox and go do some deep thinking.
