Friday, 10 August 2018 11:20It’s Friday, I’m just hanging around at home until the cleaner is then then I’ll go out for lunch and onwards to work. The parents holiday is almost over. Just 2 more of such Fridays for me and they are back.
Last week we bid farewell to a colleague and in the midst of conversation another colleague introduced us to a new colleague. She said “His name is ‘Daniel’”. I’m putting Daniel in parenthesis because that’s what she said. After much more ping pong she says his name is spelled “Denial”. You gotta be kidding me.
I know people are free to name themselves whatever, but the word Denial is not pronounced Daniel. BS!
That really bugs me when people say a word is read in another way.
A couple days ago it was “the first day of autumn” as marked on my calendar. While it’s still hot like summer, I must say the winds since that day DO feel somewhat autumn-y (a lot drier than the summer winds). I need to find a day to go swim this year, I haven’t gone swimming this year.
