Busy busy life
Friday, 30 November 2018 23:56I need to show up here more often. But then, as I’ve mentioned before, since I’m actually putting in the effort to journal daily, I just run out of things to write here. Hm... but really, that journal is my 2018 project. Although I still got a journal for 2019, I wonder if I will continue being so diligent with that... let this month run through first.
Still at my job. Came across a document on my boss’s desk. Someone made a pay comparison report thingy. I feel so sorry for myself and the Executive Assistant field. My salary is so low, I must be pulling the curve of this position down. Another person with the same title as me earns 3 times my pay and only has 1 role to play. I have like 5 roles to play and I’m like earning less than entry level. I was very depressed when I first saw that, but now I’ve thought it through. I’ve always been the type to not look at the money, and I’ll do that. I get a rather flexible type of freedom, so I’ll use that freedom as much as I am.
Just yesterday my boss asked me to go help him sit at an auction. He eventually showed up before his items came up. So I just passed his number sign to him and said “there, you know your maximum threshold, so you bid for your stuff.”
Not sure if this auction is serious or what. The guy had hammered and sold an item but then 2 items down and a telephone operator said they finally reached a client, so they went back 2 items to say a telephone bidder out bid the hammer price and so it went to the telephone bidder? I’m practically an auction virgin and even I know that’s fishy.
They actually tried that with my boss too, and he of course made a scene.
Auctions. Aside from the talking guy, everything else is so boring...
