Friday Five 10-May
Saturday, 11 May 2019 14:141. What made you smile this week?
The predictable idiosyncrasies of my boss. It should have annoyed me, but I’ve been trying to be gung-ho about stuff and life.
2. What ingredients make a perfect Saturday?
Morning yoga and running, and a nice lunch after! Though today (I’m posting a day late) I had to skip this plan as I needed to see the doctor for my scratchy throat and I wanted to go get a haircut.
3. What is the best thing you ever had for dessert? Share the memory or the recipe.
My mom’s mango pudding.... but she never made that anymore and when I asked her to make it again (in recent years), she refused!
4. What is your favorite memory of your mom, or your favorite thing about being a mom?
HER idiosyncrasies LOL. There was a time when my friends were getting married and certainly the topic of getting the husband’s surname came up. My friends asked why my mom still kept her maiden name, so I asked.
“I have my own surname, why do I need his?”
Gee, I love this woman!
5. What are your plans for the summer (or winter, for those in the southern hemisphere)?
The same as usual, I guess... go swimming on sundays, attempt to get the dogs swimming as well, and if the parents are traveling then it’s home cooked meals MY WAY, and if they are not traveling then maybe we will finally get the home renovations going.
