Friday Five 21-June
Saturday, 22 June 2019 08:591. How do you beat the summer heat?
Well, I like going back into the office because of free air con, but then sometimes I think of the dogs and figure that I should probably stay home and put the fan on (we switch off all electronics if there are no humans at home)
2. Do you have air conditioning?
We used to have an unspoken rule of “air con only at night for sleeping, or if it is unbearable and there are more than 3 people at home.” I suppose that was for saving on electricity costs. But now that we kids are all grown, that unspoken rule seems to have been thrown out the window. On my part I try to deal with the heat with fans, as I’m still somehow following that unspoken rule (guess it’s too ingrained in me), and I tend to blame the dogs, so to speak, if I have to switch on the air con. “Look at Bido! He’s panting and very hot! We need air con!” LOL and there goes.
3. What’s your idea of the perfect summer day?
I don’t like the beach and swimming but with the heat I am sometimes tempted. Perfect summer day would be in an air con room with a good book and comfy sofa or lounge chair.
4. What’s one thing you always seem to do every summer whether you want to or not?
*thinking* nothing really. Continue working. Day in day out in the office I guess.
5. Are you ready for the summer?
Summer arrived here a few months ago already LOL. I guess I am ready. I have my hat and my shades and summer clothes.
