Not quite so bad
Thursday, 6 February 2020 23:53Day 2 of working from home... not quite so bad...
The boss wanted me to arrange for internet access for his grandma, so I got to get out for a little bit. Also managed to intercept a courier that was trying to send a document to me.... but "they can't understand the address" so they keep calling me but everytime they reach me I'm in somewhere else in town. Today, fate has smiled on us and I finally got the document. Wasn't anything particularly important.
Returned home. Nightmare starts.
Seriously, working from home doesn't work in my family. Even Facebook agrees LOL
I totally feel the plight of this lady. It's more or less the same at my place. My mom sees I'm home and it's like a free pass to get a coolie to work. "I can't reach the top cabinet". "I need this and that from the shops." I try to accommodate, but when you are seriously working but keep getting distracted...
The dogs aren't so bad. They play and fight and make a lot of noise when they are fighting, but once they calm down they are just sleeping, so then it's nice with a dog snuggled next to you.
Dad has gone on his flight to come back from Austria. I'm not sure if all will go well at Taipei though. His flight has been changed already to a later flight (Taipei>Macau) but then there's this news about Taipei closing off its borders.... hm..... All the best, Dad!
So, one week almost over... Let's home next week will be smooth sailing as well, then all work resume to normal on 20-February. I can't wait. I miss my office.
Here's Franki and I sitting in the car, he has climbed up the divider in the luggage compartment, so he's essentially up on a platform.
Whereas I'm in the latest fashion get up - a face mask!
