Long Weekend

I didn't even know I'd get an even longer weekend this week. I have my usual Friday off today, and apparently tomorrow (Saturday) is a government mandated public holiday, the "Chung Yeung Festival"... think of it like a Chinese All-Soul's Day in Autumn (coz there's Chinese All-Soul's Day in Spring)... and since it's a government mandated holiday, we get the "compensation holiday" on Monday. Originally, I could have kept the day and chosen to any day off within the next 180 days, but the office decided that "Since nobody else would be working on Monday anyway, doesn't make sense for you to come back and not be able to do anything."

I disagree on that point as I can very well clear out the backlog of stuff I have to do, but well, I'm the newbie in the office, guess I should follow the group.

1. How have you been sleeping lately?
Mostly, I've been sleeping well. Basically lights off, head hits pillow and the next thing I know it's the next morning. Though there's been a day or two where I was so tired, I napped a bit in the afternoon then it took me till 2 or 3 in the morning to actually be able to fall asleep.

2. What kinds of linens and stuff do you have on your bed today?
I only have IKEA linens and bedspreads. I don't need high thread count stuff and any way, my dog sleeps with me on my bed, so I don't use fancy stuff. So I have IKEA stuff that's erm... strong enough to withstand frequent washing.

3. What’s the latest you’ve gotten out of bed these last few months?
Nothing later than 7am. We have dogs, they have a toilet schedule. So we keep to it. Even on holidays. Even on hangover days, LOL.

4. Have you had any pleasant or unpleasant dreams lately?
I know I had a weird dream this morning. I remember waking up thinking "what the heck!" But, now I do not recall what it was about.

5. What helps you relax these days?
I have a puzzle game on my iPad (Magic Puzzle, i think) and I play for a while before I go to bed. The game has some lullaby kind of music, so it helps. But really, I just meditate for a bit and soon I fall asleep.
