Well, it was a busy day, but I really have nothing to show for it. The same for every morning, dog walk, dog walk! And then, next I looked at the clock, it was 8:27am, so I quickly logged on to the government sports bureau website to try to book a badminton court for next week (booking starts 8:30am). It was BS, because the whole booking process required you to type in a code to "prove you're not a robot" and then type in a 2-factor authentication thing just to go to the payment page... and by then, the slot that was in my basket, was gone. After clicking around a little more, I found another badminton court venue, and I managed to book a session for next week Saturday. Quickly sent a note to some friends about it. Yay.

When that was done, it wasn't even 9:00am yet, but looking at the sky, it looked like it wouldn't get too sunny because it was pretty overcast, so I decided to risk it and go for a run. It was a good idea, I had a good run, and the view was stunning this morning!

Went out for lunch with the parents, and miraculously... we took Frankie with us! Ali Curry House, always a good place to eat al fresco. I asked for an onion soup (no soufflé top) and samosas, because of my run earlier, I hate a later breakfast and wasn't all that hungry at lunch. Dad ordered a pork knuckle, and Mom ordered also an onion soup, but with the soufflé top. Frankie got to eat bits and pieces of the port knuckle. Happy him.

We finished lunch and went back home pretty early. It was 2:30ish pm when we got home later.

I went about to sort out my life (changed the bedsheets, did the laundry, tended to the plants, etc.). When I went out to the varandas to look at some succulents that I'm trying to propagate, I saw Frankie and Harley being chummy under the sun. Nutmeg was also looking cute in the living room.

I had a manicure appointment at 4:30pm. This was not at my regular parlor. This place I went to today, was my "old parlor". I stopped going there because the gel color came off in entire pieces pretty soon. But they had bugged me with enough phone calls, and she said I still had around $1170 worth of package money on my account. So I figured I might as well go there. I knew though, they would try to sell me new packages, but I just played super dumb and played my "I don't speak very well Cantonese" card. They didn't bother me much after that. Now I know a manicure session with them is $150. So, I suppose, I can try to squeeze 6 more manicures from them, and the remaining money value I will just ignore. If I go a 7th time, they will definitely talk me into buying a new package with them.

Also managed to do some shopping done. I got a plant-based yoghurt, again, finding new stuff to try out. My parents will never buy that in their regular grocery shopping. Thank the deities for self-checkout lanes. I guess people here are not accustomed to using self-checkout. The cashier queue was enormous, and the self checkout was empty. So I quickly beeped my yoghurt and a bottle of milk and paid cashless, and then I could go. I think from my "queueing" to bagging my stuff and going, the cashier lane... didn't move. And they had like 6 or 7 cashier stations opened.

The parents each had their own dinner plans tonight, so it was me and my Sis. I just ordered some takeout that took forever to arrive. Anyway, they arrived, and it was actually quite good. Maybe they will consider opening a branch or something?

Anyway, I'm falling asleep as I'm tying this. You don't imagine, a few times I closed my eyes to rest a bit while I typed, and then when I open my eyes, I have no idea what I've been talking about. See you and have a fabulous weekend!

Today... such a long day!

First, I got woken up by Nutmeg at around 6am. She jumped onto me, did a zoomie spin kind of thing, then jumped off. That woke me up, and I thought, might as well for for a run! Although these 2 photos were taken quite a while apart, location-wise, these were opposing views. So when I was over at the Tower side, I saw that hilly view, and when I was over there, I saw that tower.

The sky was pretty hazy early on, so there was much nice photo shooting opportunity. As I ran, I saw at least 2 groups of photographers on their photo shooting outings. One of the groups was probably some sort of learning group.

As usual, we took the dogs for their walk. Dad got drunk when he went out with his friends last night, so today my Sis and I were pretty much on our own with the dogs, so we went to a new dog park. Super lucky, we got a car park. Frankie had a lot of fun, and even after a full 30minutes of his running around, when we got back into the car, he still wanted to stay out.

I had exchanged my left Apple AirPod Pro back in November because it started to get a lot of noise, and recently, the right one started to get that kind of noise too. So I went to the Apple Store this morning to get it sorted out. The guy confirmed I had problematic earphones, and then spun a story that "ah, if you pair an old earpod to a new earpod then you'd have to wait for them to sync, so I'm just going to replace both your earpods!" And thus, I got a new pair of AirPod Pro!

After that, we walked by this... erm... Deli Lounge kind of thing and we figured we could have lunch as well. Lunch was yummy, I really liked the couscous salad they served. I just might go there more often (I think they have a branch over in the peninsula side of town)

And then, my Sis brought me to this hidden florist/flower shop place. And jeez! I had looked high and low for the Rainbow Elephant Bush, asked people, walked around Macau (peninsula side) to look for them, and finally found baby saplings, and bought then... AND THEN I FIND THIS. Even though, I've reached a point where I know I shouldn't buy any more new plants, I couldn't not get that this time. I'll just place one in the office (and pray it doesn't die). Whoops, got a little carried away touching up photos and I uploaded this one that I've pushed saturation up. Sorry! I know I said plants should be posted unfiltered.

When we got home, I had to go out a few times (one to get Frankie out of the house, because some repairmen were hear fixing a drainage thing, one to bring something to my cousin, one to buy something that I was looking for, etc....) and on one of my trips out, I took Nutmeg with me, just so that she can have more practice of going out of the apartment.

And then, somehow, we find out Dad had fallen onto the ground last night when he was still out, and he was so drunk he didn't tell us anything last night. Today we see his wrist is all swollen, so, I had to drive him to the hospital. He's still waiting in the emergency room, but supposedly (and by experience), usually trauma cases have a shorter wait time, but he's still waiting. So we took the dogs to another dog park near the hospital, got them done (short video below, this dog park is quite nice, it's HUGE!), went to fill up the car, went back to the hospital, he was still waiting, so we went home first.

This was such a long day... I had never had an over 1000kcal day before, according to my watch. I'm beat. I want to go shower and just head off to bed, but then I think I should wait for Dad to be done at the hospital. I've asked Mom if she wants to go and stay with Dad, but it seems she's being petty and adamant that she's not going to keep him company. *Rolls eyes*
