This here is Sai Lup (or, Max) when he has finally been put onto a bed (especially the parents' king bed) he will REFUSE to get out of the bed. His back legs are not good (I forgot the term of his issue... he has a torn ligament or something... cruciate?) so he can't jump up the bed on his own, and now he can't jump down and we have to help him down.....  but he refuses.... LOL... No, he will not get Dinner In Bed LOL.

Technology woes

Guh! My MacBook Air is so old, so so soooooo old......! It is still usable, but, things are starting to breakdown. The battery is shit (I can't use it as a portable laptop anymore, it HAS to be connected to a power source), and one of the USB ports is dead.

Because I know that the hard drive has reached a stage where... my phone has a larger storage than the laptop, I can't use it as a physical backup. Fine. Then, I've also stored all my music onto a storage drive. So if I ever want to sync some old music into my phone, I need to connect both the storage drive and the phone to the laptop in order to be able to sync it.

Well, now one of the USB ports is dead, I can't do it. So I bought a USB hub. I also know that just using the hub may not be enough, because the hub needs a larger power source to make some other items to work. Now, since this is a MacBook Air, it doesn't have a CD drive. Soooo. I bought a super drive way back then. I tried this new set up a few months ago (USB hub + extra power connection) and the CD Super drive works together with the external storage drive.

TODAY, I'm trying to rip some random CDs I saw my Sis has lying around... and the set up doesn't work anymore! The CD Super Drive says it needs more power... but it's exactly the same set up as a couple months ago, so I don't understand why it isn't going through.

I don't want to buy a new laptop, I hardly ever use it anymore, but I also want to be able to store music (I like to collect the album art for artists I really really like)... I also don't feel like splurging on Apple Music, because, why? Now, should I do something about home sharing and cloud storage? I don't trust that completely, but probably that's the way I have to start moving. But.... I'm lazy.

Follow up technology woes

So I managed to workaround that, and that is to first rip the CD onto the MBA's (MacBook Air) hard drive, then disconnect the SuperDrive and connect the external hard drive to move the files over to it and sync to my phone.

But now, another funny thing happened.... Album Art! In the syncing process, I don't know if it's iTunes or if it's the iOS, it messed up the album art! So the album art doesn't match the album/song on play! This is so annoying. I give up.

As a side note, I tried to sync those to the iPod Classic and this issue doesn't appear there, so I think it's an iOS thing. Duh. I'm tired. I'm going to bed first...
