This may be a Wordless Wednesday entry, but I have to add a short description. Mid-November is the Grand Prix in Macau. In preparing the city for the races, barriers have to be put up ahead of time, around the race track. Many people love driving in town during this time, as they get this (false) sense of racing in the race track. I just find it super annoying because with the barriers, there are road blocks, and you have think about how to get somewhere because the usual way is blocked.

That, and it was a rare day when I got to drive my car on a work day. I had a late afternoon meeting out in the city outskirts and so bullied my Dad to let me use my car (hear that, I had to ASK to use MY OWN CAR), if not, I'd have to take a taxi to get back to Macau side and it's a pain.

The Grand Prix will take place this weekend (20/21 November) and it's gonna be such a pain to go to a certain area in town (namely, the vet) and the trial races on Friday is gonna be sooooooooo noisy in my office. I remember back in school days, as my school was right in the middle of the racing track looped area, we got to get the 2 days off, because the zooming was just too noisy. Hm... I might consider going to another office, if that is the case.

What a day!

Geez, the day is not going so well for me today.

So after my general check up in September, the report came out in October. I have a slight issue (a very simple matter) and the doctor had given me a course of medication, and just told me "you'll need to come back when you complete this course". She didn't say how long after, and I didn't think to ask that.

Anyway, course completed, and I decided to wait 2 days after to revisit the doctor. But. That's the funny thing with that hospital. You don't know which doctor you'd get. Heck, I wasn't even in the same department. The general check up was up in the "General Health Check up" department, but that department did not have the option for individual bookings, so I had to make a booking down in a dedicated department.

Anyway, so I left with quite some time to spare (half an hour) and proceeded on my way to the private hospital. The bus did not stop when I waved at the bus stop (the prick!) so I took another bus that didn't stop exactly at the hospital. I still had to walk a ways, but at least I didn't have to walk up a mountain then down the mountain to get to it.

Doctor checks my file, and says "too early for the re-consultation". She practically asked me to just return next month. Eyeroll. Well at least there was no consultation charge. (This private hospital is well known for being money-sucking). Walked back to the office, up and down the hill and all. I figured I needed the walk.

Then it was lunch. I was feeling pretty hungry, but I also wasn't able to eat properly again, because yesterday the dentist had changed the elastic band that i had to use, so my gums were sore again today. I ordered a shrimp bisque because it's usually served inside a bun... I figured the soup can soften a bit of the bread, so I can also eat a bit of soggy bread that way.

The thing is, I hate shrimp bisque, and any shrimp or lobster soup, the kind where you have to boil their heads and get the brain juice? I don't mind sucking the heads when I'm eating shrimps or prawns, but I have no idea why I hate it so much when it's in soup form. Anyway. All part of the planning. Besides, I've been having tomato soup for almost 2 weeks. I had to ask for something different.

And now I'm feeling so nauseous. It's not the shrimp bisque, I surmise, I think it's more I've stuffed myself too much, I've only been having soup for lunch, and today I had soup and bread, but I don't know.

I suppose I'll be calling it a day earlier today, will just go home and try to sleep it off.
