So damn noisy
Thursday, 4 August 2022 16:38I'm taking refuge in my Boss' office, because out there in the open plan... it's too noisy.
The ladies are STILL having the long discussion of what type of leave to use to fill onto that form. It's Thursday. Shouldn't you have had it resolved on Monday?
And then, about that lockdown subsidy I mentioned that my Sis is eligible but I'm not? They are also bemoaning because 5 years ago they joined a scheme to "not receive their annual bonus" and accumulate it until the end of the term... and they received that "big bonus" last year. So it's calculated into their "income", so they are not eligible for the subsidy. So they are also making a lot of noise outside, saying they should write a petition and submit.
You know what.
There IS a petition going on. They simply have to fill in a form. The Union will help them sort the rest of the things out.
Then why are you still bemoaning and complaining about it!
Before getting to work this morning, I saw that there's a Typhoon coming up. The path looked like it would be a direct hit to town, so I put own my rain boots but now in my Boss office it's all sunshine and hot in here, so I just checked the path again. it's swerved up north, so it's not going to hit us.
It’s also pretty lucky, because I do have a booking at the transport bureau to renew my driver's license. If we did get a typhoon, I would have to get it rescheduled. Ah. Then is another 20 years until I need to renew the license again. Why are we so weird. I'm expected to look the same now as 20 years on.
I was just listening to a podcast and the case they were on is one of the plane crash ones. That got me hooked in the "I know it's horrible but I am intrigued!" Kind of way. I've been searching other plane crashes and the voice recordings of the last moments are just so chilling.
Oh, as I'm closing this, a darkness suddenly came over. I suppose there's gonna be heavy rain then. GOOD! At least then I have my rain boots for something.
