Ugh.

Open plan offices and the people with no boundaries.

For some reason, the topic of face masks came up and the ladies outside were making a ruckus about face masks, price, and stuff.

Now, the preventive measures are relaxed, so everyone takes there masks off when in the office and within their own cubicles. I do the same, and put a nail on my partition wall so I can hang my mask there. And while yes, I admit that's not optimal, I do have a bottle of antiseptic spray that I spray around in that walll and in my cubicle (admittedly, once in a blue moon).

Anyway.

The ladies were talking about face masks. And then they talked of a particular brand, which is the one I'm using.

One of the management boss-man (actually, two of them, but separately) came out and actually just snatched my face mask to feel the fabric and commenting "ah, it's not too thick".

WTF.

Then the second guy came and did the same commenting "ah the elastic is not tight too".

I had half a mind to say "yeah, why don't you try it on." If you couldn't imagine it, let me tell you, if i had said that out loud, it would be in the most sarcastic tone I could muster up, with a gigantic eye roll. I didn't. They could write me up.

Point is. Hey! It's a face mask. Get your filthy hands off it! Again, admittedly, the mask could possibly be filthier than their hands... but it's the PRINCIPLE OF IT! You don't go around manhandling people's used face masks!?

Even though I'm far from being a germaphobe but I'm also not a germaphiliac. I just, don't fear them and would not go to extremes. Like I always say: I live with dogs. I don't fear a bit of dirt. While I don't go about sticking my tongue into my dog's mouth, I don't mind it when they lick my face either. And I do the same ppfffffttttt uuurggh when they accidentally lick my mouth (yeah, especially with Frankie).

So. My assaulted face mask. I'm going to leave it hanging there until the end of the day and throw it out when I leave. I have spares in my bag anyway, and I'm not going to open a new one now, lest they come manhandling my face mask again. And they didn't go wash their hands after holding onto my mask! Neither with the sanitizing gel or whatever!

WHAT are these people thinking???

I was rendered almost immobile yesterday. Well. Saturday, I did get to Starbucks. I did catch up with the finance log of the shelter I volunteer at. I didn't go shopping though, but as the evening crept up, I thought it was a good chance to go running. So I did a 5km run. I wanted to push myself in the last 1km and so managed to actually complete the 5km in 40minutes (personal best 5 years ago was 30minutes, but I've slacked off since, and it's been averaging at 45minutes whenever I did go run).

Sunday I was feeling okay and went to the "fair" (it was just something like a shopping festival to stimulate the economy. Went to see my friend there), went to M&S but didn't get what I had wanted to get because they have now implemented a no actually trying-on bras (but their sales associate would happily provide fitting suggestions). They were fine with you buying it and trying it on at home, but I don't see the difference to trying them on there. But anyway. I didn't want the hassle of taking them home, trying them on and then finding out they don't fit so I have to return them. I need to ask around to find out where they still allow fittings.

Then yesterday (Monday) my legs felt sore. I was confused. I ran on Saturday, I thought the soreness would have started on Sunday, but Sunday I was well, and I felt well enough that I did one set of HIIT workouts. Oh boy. Yesterday I walked like an old man LOL. I decided to do some yoga and stretching last night, but after flicking around the Nike app, I ended up doing another set of HIIT but focusing on abs (so hopefully giving my legs a break) and luckily, today I'm feeling heaps better. If the weather is good when I get off work today I'm going for a run.

I've noticed the same thing as from 5 years ago when I was running half-way seriously. With exercise, I don't feel bouts of sudden hunger, and so I snack less. Hoping to get back to that. I'm back to 72KG which 5 years ago was what prompted me to start exercising to lose some weight and I managed to reach to 62KG. But thanks to the appendicitis in 2017/2018 or so I stopped exercising and now I'm back to the 70s. It's not morbid, but the thing about being Caucasian in Asia is... at the doctor's doing an overall body check the verdict for me is "obese" because my BMI is "on the high end for Asians"... and even after telling the doctor "but I'm not Asian" they do not budge. Boo.

That and I'm starting to find it difficult to stuff my bum in some of my trousers LOL.
