Counting Sheep
Thursday, 22 December 2022 23:21The new "buzzword" in town is Sheep. There are sheep everywhere. In the past, Mama Sheep would warn Baby Sheep to not go out, because the Big Bad Wolf is out there. Nowadays, Mama Wolf warns Baby Wolf to not go out, because there are Sheep Out There.
LOL.
In Cantonese, the word "Sheep" 羊 issynonymous homonymous (sounds the same) with "(testing) Positive" 陽. I'm not sure about Mandarin though. The above image is in simplified Chinese, so I guess it carries the same in Mandarin.
I mentioned the other day the government has suddenly embraced life with Covid?
From the sidelines, it looks like a suicide crash. There's no need to report your health anymore. Even if you are positive, you are allowed to go out and go to work. "Location" check in is not required anymore, except for to government offices and hospitals.
With the rigid control before, with the sudden laissez-faire attitude, the spaceship is going to crash soon.
A LOT of people are getting positive. Heck, my Sis' workplace has all the operations staff positive, so no one with experience is there to do the hands-on things like dog handling, cleaning pens, and the like. My office started the day yesterday with 3 admin staff (me included) and the day ended with 2 admin staff.
Our family Christmas Party will most likely be cancelled because out of the 6 "nucleus families", 4 already got positive. It's just ours and family "V" that's still negative.
I see on Facebook posts on how whole families get positive together. Some more light-hearted posts are about how everyone BUT the youngest child is positive, so they have to rely on the youngest child.
It's a pandemonium.
And so, I have photos to show! What kind of segue is this LOL?
The dogs and cats wanted to go out and lie in the sun for a bit, so I had to stand there to look over them. Nutmeg's also out here but out of the frame of the photo. Harley (the white cat) has the naughty tendency to jump up to the 6th floor and then wander, so I need to just sit there and look at them.
I got tired standing around so decided to sit on the floor, then Frankie comes over to snuggle up. What a shoe-shiner!
Oh, before all that, I did start the morning with some Yoga. All the while, Menina was just looking and complaining. She's getting more brazen and wants someone to be in bed with her. I guess it's somehow related to her getting blind? So she just wants some human with her?
That's all the types of cookies we made this year. Yum, yum, yum, and yum! They are all yum! Even the gingerbread's good!
I thought I ate too many cookies as we were preparing some cookie baggies, so I wanted to go out for a run, but Frankie was rather energetic as well, so oh well, I went for a long walk with him. Pretty nice day, but Winter is seemingly over for us, LOL.
