Singapore business trip
Tuesday, 24 March 2026 20:21Here I am in Singapore again for business, but it has come around that this is a really bad timing. Boss has some ad-hoc thing which is proving to be most inconvenient to happen at this time but ohwell.
But, I've been having a string of bad luck! I had all hotels and flights confirmed already, but then I decided to check on any better hotel deals (usually non-refundable with days' notice only) and found a pretty nice place at the area I like, so I booked that. The room did not disappoint, and everything was very nice and as expected. But since it's a duplex type thing, and I was in my socks (lesson learnt), I slipped and slided down the last 3 steps of stairs when I was going down. I don't think I'm badly hurt, more frightened than anything, as I'm traveling alone, and for now it seems my worst wound-not-wound is this... light abrasion thing on my arm, I think when I skidded down the wall. You know, like papercut wounds, there IS a wound but it's not bleeding? But it kind of hurts doubly so? I suspect when I wake up tomorrow my... back... i assume probably my right side lats are gonna be in pain tomorrow.
Then I went out and wanted to console myself with an ice cream. I got it, and it was melting already. And when I opened my mouth, I kind of choked on my own saliva and had a coughing fit. That's 3 things of bad luck! I hope it's all over!
I've already gotten dinner, and I'm just lounging around and waiting for it to be like 8.30pm then maybe I'd go for a run. Singapore's got a lot of nice running routes now, I hear it's because the Singapore government wants to make Singapore a "healthy city" and so is pushing for these health related initiatives. With my luck today I better look at a map and plan out my route first before I go.
Also got a pack of Nacho Cheese chips. YES! This trip is gonna be a trip for rebellion! I never snack on stuff at home? I'm gonna snack on stuff here!
