um... is this when I say, "I've been naughty"??

Late night last night... I'm getting old... can't do this anymore...

I went to the TABOO show at City of Dreams last night. When the dancers entered one of them seductive ladies sat on the partition space beside me and held my hand, saying my nails were pretty. hoohoo.

So apparently this was a Cabaret-style show, one which I think I've completed one more thing in my life that I'd really like to do. I remember as a kid I read a children's book... it's about some young girl studying in some boarding school (I think it was something like the Mallory Towers series, though I can't remember if it was exactly this line of books I'm talking about) and one of the girls thought she was oh-so talented, and when she saw a sign in front of a building saying "talent shows" she snuck out of school to try to perform... only to find out it was a very adult type of talent show...

This was exactly what I imagined this "talent show" would be like. Wow. It was really amazing. Some parts felt like I was watching just another Cirque du Soleil, but, well... the whole atmosphere, the bar/club setting, sipping champagne and nibbling on strawberries during the show... it's the entire experience, really.

As for Dita Von Teese herself... I wasn't impressed. Yes, a pretty lady. Yes, a beautiful body, so what? Her nice, firm boobies are implants only. Her acts didn't involve any... um... technical stuff? She just strutted around in her sparkly costume then took the costume off piece by piece and used the feathery hand-fan to cover her body. Then she splashed some water in her giant wine glass or danced around on her shiny carousel horse. Not Impressed. As she is a trained ballerina I thought she would do some dance moves, but it was just walking strutting around. But my friend loves her and I get to say "I watched some famous person one time" so yeah... 

After the show we went for some tea to drive off all the champagne we had (the friend had to drive) and I got home at the glorious time of... 1am. Sh*t, 1am is considered early, and yet it has taken such a big toll on me. Just after lunch just now I got hit with a sleepy spell so hard, I just had to collapse in bed. I could blame my monthly friend who came today, but that doesn't usually affect me so much, so I'm still placing my bets on getting to bed late.

And I'm feeling peckish. I'm going to hunt for some snacks :P

Haha, I understand what you mean. I can't stay out until 1am anymore, I'll feel like shit the next day.

I'd really like to see a cabaret show, too bad Dita von Teese wasn't that good.
