Wrap up after the trip...
Wednesday, 22 October 2014 20:49Riiight... I haven't had the diligence to sort through the photos just yet as I fell sick after the trip, I'm kind of hanging in-between the being actually sick and just not sick yet stage, scratchy throat, damnable headache, slight runny nose.... I'm slowly feeling better, so I should be up and running HEALTHILY soon.
But, I just wanted to wrap up ny trip this time.
Long story short, I think I have one less friend in my life.
Maybe there is a problem with me? That I always have trouble when I travel with friends... but this time, I'm pretty confident it's not me...
I wanted to share a couple of incidents.
-----------
We were in Kyoto, watching a tea ceremony & culture show. A lady in kimono walked across the stage to hand something over to someone. My companion, hereon noted as "C", muttered under her breath:
C: I personally wouldn't take this job, having to let so many people see my face. Well, you chose to keep this job so you gotta work on it.
-----------
We were in Osaka, and it seemed there were various school groups of the mentally challenged, physically disabled, and autistic kids (different groups, different situations, different places)
A kid walked past C,
C: what the!? These people are not normal! They are problematic and shouldn't be let out into the public!!!
------------
In Kyoto, Kiyomizudera-michi, shopping street
C: so you have a thing for your Boss, right? I'm sure about it, you are working so hard for him, that must be because you have a thing for him!
K:... if I had anything for him it would be pure, pure, hatred
C: that's all the same, you must be having a fling with him
I decided to just ignore her
------------
In Osaka, Osaka bay.
We walked past a building, it is a very nicely built building. It would seem like a hotel, but there was no reception and no concierge, so maybe it was just a very nice residential building...
A lady in office-lady attire walked past us
C: what, you look at HER, she can afford living in such a nice place?
----------
I was checking my email and getting some work stuff done. I wasn't complaining, I was just typing on my phone, and suddenly....
C: well you are the one that chose to keep this job. You get such a high pay so you have to suffer the consequences. If you don't like your job you can always quit and change jobs!
K:........???????????????? WTF????????????????
---------
We lost each other on the last day. I was worried and I waited for her and looked for her. I asked the staff in the place to make announcements to look for her. After waiting for her for 2 hours, I decided to just forget it, hoping that she had read my itinierary paper and she would know to show up at the Airport Bus station before 6pm.
Eventually, I show up at the bus station, I didn't see her, but she screamed at me.
C: How dare you!!
K:...? How dare me?
C: How dare you! you ditched me!
K: I lost you, I did not ditch you
C: You are always thinking of me as an enemy!
K: If I thought that I wouldn't be waiting for you and looking for you for 2 hours...
C: What? 2 hours? Are you stupid or what? You wait for me for 2 hours?? That's dumb!
K:...
--------------
Well, I'm really sorry I got worried. Sorry I waited. Sorry going with her. She doesn't have a watch, so she keeps asking me the time. She kept asking me "where we go next" so i thought she never read the itinerary sheet I wrote. She didn't have a bloody convertor/adapter which I find atrocious for someone who claims to be a seasoned traveller. Heck, her phone has no roaming so when we lost each other I couldn't even call her! Heck, SHE didn't use a pay phone to call me! How dare me????
So yeah, that was my trip. Poor in company, but it was lovely nontheless. I shall go on a solo trip again!!
