Friday Five!
Friday, 20 November 2015 23:061. What’s your favorite part about taking a vacation/holiday?
Just getting out to see something new, breaking away from the normal rituals from work and home...
2. What’s your least favorite part about taking a vacation/holiday?
I tend to get homesick. Not terribly homesick, but then I start to miss the little things... my dogs, my bed, my toilet, etc...
3. What’s the farthest you’ve traveled on a vacation/holiday?
I should use Google to check distances, but just by memory, the farthest should be Portugal.
4. Have you ever taken a vacation/holiday (spent time in a hotel for pleasure) in your own town/city?
Not really, I mean, I've taken time off and do vacationy things, but not staying in a hotel. This place is so small it just isn't worth it. With a pair of good shoes and good planning on meals, you can practically walk the entire of Macau in one day.
5. If you could go somewhere right now, where would it be?.
I'm feeling like going to Taipei right now this moment, but, I'm stuck here...

Date: 2015-11-21 09:20 (UTC)I was just in Spain this March. I do intend to visit Portugal again with friends in the coming years, so I'll see how I plan it.
Getting homesick, there's a lot of triggers. Say if I get the bad luck and hit all the wrong restaurants, then I'll start missing food from home. Or, the other time I was in Singapore, I was quite alright, then it rained, my windbreaker got wet, and that's when the inner odour of my dogs started to permeate from the windbreaker, and I suddenly felt like going home.
Usually something interesting (like a train ride) would make me forget about home :-)
